In Pokkiri Raja, Jiiva and Sibiraj have done the titular roles. Jiiva is playing the protagonist roles and Sibiraj has acted as an antagonist after his Nanayam. Thamizhukku Enn Ondrai Aluthavum Fame director Ram Prakash Rayappa has directed Pokkiriraja. The female lead is played by Hansika and D. Imman has composed the music. P T. Pokkiri Raja is a usual love story. The hero loves the heroine and the villain gives hindrance and meddles in their matter and finally the hero comes out of the hindrances and joins with the heroine. The movie is a commercial entertainer. D.Imman’s songs are not so melodious and no songs are superb. But the villain background score is good. The scripts are written by Gnanagiri. Some scripts related to love and friendship is good, but the rest is a usual one.
Anji has added more colors to the movie through his cinematography. The editing was made by Sabu Joseph and he has made accurate running time, but the stunt scenes are very long. The strength of the movie is in the hands of Anji and Sabu Joseph, who has done their part of cinematography and editing phenomenally. The cinematographer has gone inside the deep greenish locations and the scenes are colorful.
Jiiva has portrayed as Raja and Sibiraj as Guna. Hansika has come as a glamorous actress then and there. Her expressions are good and superb. Ramdoss, Manobala, Yogibabu and Mayilsamy have enacted their roles wonderfully. After a gap of two years, Jiiva has acted in the movie with full energy. Sibiraj have also done his best in the movie as an antagonist. Jiiva has previously acted in versatile roles in Ram and Khatrathu Tamil.
Hansika has come more glamorously and her role is not a dissimilar one. Songs made by D.Imman is up to the anticipation. The only plus point in the movie is the work done by the cinematographer and editor.
