Abarnathi’s Narkarappor Trailer: A Struggle To Glory Outshining Caste Oppression!

Actress Abarnathi fell in the attention of the audience right away with her debut film Jail directed by Vasanthabalan with G V Prakash Kumar as lead. Her spectacular portrayal of the character Rosamalar received critical acclamations. The actress had her last outing in Irugapatru helmed by Yuvaraj Dhayalan with actor Vikram Prabhu in the lead role. She was seen in a supporting part in the flick. The Udanpaal actress will soon be seen on screens as a lead heroine in her next project titled Narkarappor. Actor Lingesh of Madras fame has portrayed a pivotal role in the movie. Filmmaker Shree Vettri has written and directed the drama. Narkarappor is all set to be released on 9th of August this year. 

Earlier this month storyteller Pa Ranjith had released the teaser of the entertainer on social media. Now in a recently held public event the makers have released the trailer of the film. The event was graced by producer Suresh Kamatchi. Speaking in the event the Maanaadu producer leveled accusations on actress Abarnathi saying that she demanded a payment of three lakhs to take part in the film’s promotion event. The actress was absent from the event. Narkarappor revolves around a sanitary worker depicted by Abarnathi who puts up a fight against caste-based oppression to offer a platform for her talented chess player son. 

The two minute odd trailer opens to a few glimpses of Abarnathi as a sanitary worker cleaning the streets of the city. The shortcut to a scene where we see her educating her son, “People who talk extensively about hygiene are the ones who litter the city. We should not litter the streets.” In a shot we see the boy asking a man, “They keep saying ‘your people’ what is the meaning of that master.” In another we witness him complaining to his mother, “Wherever I go they tell me I stink, they call me a thief, son of a sanitary worker.” Then we are introduced to a rich man essayed by Suresh Menon who says, “Only those who correctly predict who will be a winner can be a good businessman. There can never be an underprivileged who cannot be bought. Even if he is the son of a sanitary worker, he is a chess player.” 

The casting of Narkarappor also has actors Suresh Menon, Anbu, Aswin, and Tamilarasi depicting pivotal supporting parts. Music director Dinesh Antony has handled musical gears for the venture. Arjun Ravi and R S Gnanasekar have been trusted with the cinematography division of the movie. Editor C K Ranjeet has been brought onboard to edit the drama. Art director Thiruman S Ragavan has designed sets. Action director Rock Prabhu has choreographed action blocks. The venture is funded by S Velayudham for his production label V6 Film Pvt Ltd.
