RJ Balaji is a multi-talented artist of k-town. He can host radio shows, he can present special events, offer sports commentary, write scripts, perform as a comedian, and shoulder a film himself. He is known of his nonsense humor and nonstop talking which he has stated that he is very proud of and it was the thing that made him who he is today. The star actor began his career as a radio jockey and later ventured in to Tamil cinema with a supporting role in Theeya Velai Seiyyanum Kumaru helmed by film maker Sunder C. After a handful of supporting characters, the actor made his debut as a lead hero in the film LKG which hit the screens in the year 2019 under the directorial of story teller K. R. Prabhu. The story of the flick was penned by actor RJ Balaji. Following the success of the drama, RJ Balaji backed it with another project titled Mookuthi Amman with actress Nayanthara and himself in the lead role. The project opened up to mixed reviews but managed to do well commercially. Now, he is all set to turn hero once again.
The star actor who is currently basking in the success of Mookuthi Amman will next be seen in a family entertainer christened Veetla Vishesham. The project is all set to hit the theaters on 7th of June this year. The production house has launched the first look poster of the movie on social media. Actor RJ Balaji took to his official twitter handle, and shared the first look poster of the movie with the message, “Get ready for the craziest family entertainer of 2022! June 17th only in theaters.” Here is the poster the actor shared.
There is an old film of veteran actor K. Bhagyaraj with the title ‘Veetla Visheshanga’. However, this movie has no relevance to that. RJ Balaji’s Veetla Vishesham is the official Tamil remake of superhit Bollywood drama Badhaai Ho which had actors Ayushmann Khurranna in the lead role. The film tells the tale of a middle-aged couple who get pregnant, which puts their son and family members in an uncomfortable spot.
Actor RJ Balaji has co-written and co-directed the Tamil version of the flick along with director NJ Saravanan. The duo had previously teamed for Mookuthi Amman. Apart from actor RJ Balaji, the film has veteran actors Sathyaraj, and Urvashi in key supporting roles. The music for the venture will be composed by Girishh Gopalakrishnan. Cinematographer Arul Vincent has cranked the camera for the film. Editor Selva R. K. will be handling the editing department of the entertainer. The film is bankrolled by Boney Kapoor under the production house Bayview Projects LLP.
On the work front, actor RJ Balaji who was last seen in Mookuthi Amman is gearing up for the release of his long-delayed venture titled Yung Mung Sung directed by M. S. Arjun which has actor Prabhu Deva in the lead role. As of now, the actor is yet to ink his signature for a project.
