Actress Aishwarya Rajesh has been an incredible performer in Tamil cinema ever since her debut. The Kaaka Muttai actress was last seen in the action thriller drama Boomika which hit the Netflix OTT platform under the direction of Rathindran R. Prasad. The entertainer has registered a dismal number of views, as it is yet to garner the attention of the audience. But the actress has put that behind her, and has got busy with her upcoming Tamil Hindi bilingual flick titled Manik. The movie is helmed by director Samrat Chakraborty who had previously written the scripts of Jagga Jasoos, and Ludo. The entertainer recently went on floors with a small pooja ceremony.

Speaking to a leading daily about the drama, CEO of Endemol Shine India Rishi Negi said, “Psychological thriller is the trend at the moment in Indian cinema. There is great reception for such dramas among the audience. We are glad to work with talented filmmaker Samrat Chakraborty, and are really excited to present Manik to people. I am sure the audience will love it.” Coproducer of the entertainer Varun Tripuraneni of Nutmeg Productions, stated, “First, we are happy to collaborate with Endemol Shine India. When Samrat Chakraborty narrated the script to us, we were thrilled. With powerhouse performer actress Aishwarya Rajesh on board the flick has reached a whole different level.”
Manik is touted to be a psychological thriller. Actress Aishwarya Rajesh will be returning to Bollywood once again after her debut flick Daddy. It is said that the production house is in plans to wrap the movie in a tight schedule, as they are planning to release the drama earlier next year. Apart from actress Aishwarya Rajesh, Manik has actors Samyuktha Shanmuganathan, Vivek Prasanna, Sai Janani, and Svar Kamble essaying various other supporting roles. The technical crew that will be part of the drama will be finalized and announced soon. The project is bankrolled by Rishi Negi for the production company Endemol Shine India along with Varun Tripuraneni and Ramisetty Abhishek under the banner house Nutmeg Productions.
On the work front, actress Aishwarya Rajesh who had her last outing in Tamil in the action thriller Boomika is currently gearing up for the release of her upcoming project titled The Great Indian Kitchen helmed by storyteller R. Kannan in which she has costarred with actor Rahul Ravindran, and for Driver Jamuna directed by Kinslin. The Kaaka Muttai actress is currently busy shooting for couple of her Tamil films christened Farhana which is filmed by director Nelson Venkatesan, and for Theeyavar Kulaigal Nadunga helmed by Dinesh Lakshmanan in which she will be collaborating with actor Arjun Sarja, and for three of her Malayalam ventures christened Pulimada scripted by A. K. Sajan in which she will be seen alongside actor Joju George, for Ajayante Randam Moshanam directed by Jithin Laal in which she will be associating with actor Tovino Thomas, and for Her filmed by Anish M Thomas. Besides these films, the actress has Mohandas scripted by Murali Karthick in which she has romanced actor Vishnu Vishal, and Dhruva Natchathiram helmed by Gautham Vasudev Menon in which she has associated with actor Vikram in various stages of post-production getting shaped for release.
