At present, actress Aishwarya Rajesh has been on a roll in Tamil cinema. The Kanaa actress has been effectively juggling between playing the female lead of lead heroes and doing woman centric scripts. The actress who was last seen on screens in the lead role in the action thriller Boomika is currently gearing up for the release of her next project christened The Great Indian Kitchen. Actor Rahul Ravindran plays her life partner in the flick. The entertainer is directed by filmmaker R. Kannan of Kanden Kadhalai fame. The movie is the official remake of superhit Malayalam drama of the same name which hit the theaters last year under the direction of story teller Jeo Baby with actors Nimisha Sajayan and Suraj Venjaramoodu as the leads. The Tamil version which went on floors earlier this year has been done and dusted in the post production.
Now, on the auspicious occasion of Diwali the production team has shared the trailer of the flick on social media. Actress Aishwarya Rajesh herself has dropped the trailer. Taking to her official twitter account, the actress shared the trailer of The Great Indian Kitchen and wrote, “Here is the hard hitting trailer of my film, The Great Indian Kitchen (Tamil) Get set for a film that’s bound to make you do some serious soul-searching!” Here is the post made by the actress.

The almost two-minute trailer cut opens with a colorful wedding with a voiceover saying, “A family that is bonded from a marriage. In such families, the father is the head of the family. And mother should take care of the house. That’s a beautiful family.” The scene lands in a school, where a school girl asks, “Sir, why can’t both mother and father be the head of the family?” The scene cuts to Rahul Ravindran dining with his father, sort of answering the question he says, “That won’t suit our family.” In the middle of the trailer, we have a voiceover voice, “A mother can administer the house. But a father must administer the whole family. That’s our cultural structure.” The trailer ends with a character saying, “Women are home ministers. You’re blessed to born as home administrators.”
Besides actors Aishwarya Rajesh and Rahul Ravindran, The Great Indian Kitchen has actors Poster Nandakumar of Madras fame and Yogi Babu essaying pivotal supporting roles. The music for the entertainer has been composed by musician Jerry Silvester Vincent. Cinematographer Balasubramaniem has cranked the camera for the film. The venture will be edited by editor Leo john Paul. The flick is bankrolled by Durgaram Choudhary along with Neel Choudhary under the production house RDC Media Pvt Ltd.
On the work front, actress Aishwarya Rajesh who had her last outing in Tamil in the action thriller Boomika is currently busy shooting for her upcoming woman centric drama christened Farhana helmed by film maker Nelson Venkatesan, for Theeyavar Kulaigal Nadunga scripted by Dinesh Lakshmanan in which she will be seen alongside actor Arjun Sarja, and for her Malayalam project titled Pulimada helmed by director A. K. Sajan in which she will be romancing actor Joju George. Apart from these projects, the actress has Driver Jamuna filmed by story teller P. Kinslin, Mohandas directed by Murali Karthick in which she has collaborated with actor Vishnu Vishal, and Dhruva Natchathiram filmed by director Gautham Vasudev Menon in which she has shared the screen space with actor Vikram in various stages of post-production getting shaped for release.
