Nearly two minute trailer of Thunivu opens to a shot of firearms lined on a table. The scene cuts to a bank. Then we have a close-up shot of actor Ajith Kumar’s single eye. Following it we witness gunfire on people, and a blast. We learn that a group of robbers have taken control of a bank. Then a hostage played by actor Prem, asks a masked robber, “Are not you ashamed of robbing people’s money?” The robber takes off his mask, – yep, it is the introduction of actor Ajith Kumar – and says, “No.” The actor looks dashing, and seems to have had great fun playing the role. Ever since the release of the first look poster of Thunivu, which had actor Ajith Kumar in chic white hair and beard sitting on a chair holding a firearm, his fans have been in a frenzy. The tagline ‘No guts no glory’ further pumped up their emotions. Both first and second look posters of the drama got tongues wagging, and set high expectations on the project. Now, the trailer has just amplified the expectations.
