Actor Akash Murali, son of late actor Murali and brother of Adharvaa Murali will soon set foot in Tamil cinema with his upcoming flick christened Nesippaya in which he has essayed a character named Arjun. Director Vishnu Varadhan of Arinthum Ariyamalum fame has written and directed the movie. Writer Neelan Sekar has assisted with screenplay and dialogue. Actress Aditi Shankar has played the love interest of the actor and goes by the name Diya. Bollywood actress Kalki Koechlin is all set to make her debut in Kollywood with a prominent part in the drama. The shoot for the entertainer has been wrapped. The makers are yet to announce the release date of the project.
The production team has now shared the teaser of the movie on social media. Taking to his official X handle, director Vishnu Varadhan dropped a poster from the flick along with a link to the teaser of Nesippaya and captioned it, “X. Life had its own script, but their kaadhal was unscripted and pure. Delve into the world of Arjun and Diya with the Nesippaya teaser. Out now. A Vishnu Varadhan film. A Yuvan Shankar Raja musical.” Here is the post made by the director.
Nearly one-and-a-half-minute teaser cut of Nesippaya opens to a voiceover of Aditi Shankar, “Arjun what I am about to say might hurt you, you could even be crushed. But I have no choice, but to say.” Then we are thrown a few glimpses of romantic moments between the lead pair. The second half of the teaser takes a serious turn and we see the actor in a foreign soil taking out a couple of henchmen. Earlier talking about the entertainer story teller Vishnu Varadhan divulged, “Nesippaya will be a superb adventurous love tale with splendid moments that will resonate and connect with people who are in love, who have experienced love, and are about to fall in love. I am quite confident that the audience will love it.” Describing debutant Akash Murali, he stated, “He has great potential. He is natural and spontaneous. He is a dedicated artist too. He has a bright future. I am sure once you witness his performance in the drama, you will agree with me.”
Apart from Akash Murali, Aditi Shankar, and Kalki Koechlin, the film stars veteran actor Sarathkumar, Prabhu, Khushbu Sundar, Shiv Panditt, and Raja. The music for the flick has been composed by music director Yuvan Shankar Raja. Cinematographers Om Prakash and Cameron Bryson have worked in tandem to capture the drama. Editor A Sreekar Prasad has been brought on board to bring coherence to the entertainer. Art director Sahu has fashioned sets for the flick. Stunt man Federico Cueva has choreographed action blocks. The project is bankrolled by Dr S Xavier Britto and Sneha Britto under the production company XB Film Creators.
On the professional front, actress Aditi Shankar will next be seen on screens alongside actor Arjun Das in the venture tentatively titled Production No 4 helmed by Vignesh Srikanth. The actress will soon begin to shoot under the direction of Gokul for the sequel of Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara in which she will be co starring with actor Vishnu Vishal.
