Actor Akash Murali, son of late actor Murali and brother of Adharvaa is set to open his account in Tamil cinema with the romantic drama Nesippaya in which he will be seen in a character named Arjun. Storyteller Vishnu Varadhan of Arinthum Ariyamalum fame has penned and directed the entertainer. He has borrowed the assistance of writer Neelan Sekar to pen dialogues and shape screenplay. Actress Aditi Shankar has been cast as the pair of Akash Murali and goes by the name Diya. Bollywood actress Kalki Koechlin is all set to venture into Kollywood with a pivotal role in the movie. Earlier the makers had released the teaser of the flick on social media. Now they have announced that the entertainer will be released in January 2025. They are currently working to fix a date for release.
Taking to their official X handle, Done Channel1 dropped a clip from the movie and announced, “Happy to announce that the Tamil Nadu release rights for Nesippaya have been acquired by The Greatest Of All Time and Good Bad Ugly distributor Romeo Pictures. Speaking to a leading media house about the drama, Vishnu Varadhan revealed, “Nesippaya will be a superb adventurous love tale with splendid moments that will resonate and connect with people who are in love, who have experienced love, and are about to fall in love. I am quite confident that the audience will love it.” Describing debutant Akash Murali, he said, “He has great potential. He is natural and spontaneous. He is a dedicated artist too. He has a bright future. I am sure once you witness his performance in the drama, you will agree with me.”
Besides Akash Murali, Aditi Shankar, and Kalki Koechlin, the casting of Nesippaya has actors Sarathkumar, Prabhu, Khushbu Sundar, Shiv Panditt, and Raja playing various supporting roles. Music director Yuvan Shankar Raja has taken care of the musical division of the drama. Om Prakash and Cameron Bryson have been trusted with the cinematography department of the flick. Editor A Sreekar Prasad has been bestowed with the responsibility to trim the project. Art director Sahu has designed the background for the venture. Action director Federico Cueva has fashioned action moves. The entertainer is backed by Dr S Xavier Britto and Sneha Britto for their home banner XB Film Creators. A Raahul of Romeo Pictures has bagged the Tamil Nadu theatrical rights of the flick.
On the professional front, actress Aditi Shankar will next be seen on screens in Once More helmed by story teller Vignesh Srikanth in which she has co starred with actor Arjun Das. The actress is currently busy shooting for Suriya’s next project tentatively titled as Suriya 43 which is scripted by Sudha Kongara, an untitled film which is set to mark the directorial debut of actor Vijay’s son Jason Sanjay, sequel of Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara crafted by Gokul in which she will be seen alongside actor Vishnu Vishal, and a Telugu venture Bhairavam directed by Vijay Kanakamedala in which she will be collaborating with actors Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas, Manchu Manoj Kumar, Nara Rohit, Divya Pillai, and Anandhi.
