Of late, actress Amala Paul has been in a mood to experiment stuff in the industry. The actress had a release this month in the likes of Investigative thriller drama titled Cadaver. The entertainer was dropped on 12th of this month on Disney + Hotstar OTT video streaming platform in languages Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi. The Aadai actress has essayed the role of Bhadra, a police surgeon in the entertainer. Film maker Anoop Panicker has directed the film. The story of the entertainer is written by writer Abhilash Pillai. The movie has opened up to mixed reviews from the audience and critics. However, actress Amala Paul’s performance in the picture has received positive feedback. Now, as part of promoting the project the actress has sat down for an interview with a popular YouTube channel.
In the interview without getting in to the specifics, the actress revealed that she witnessed a real time Postmortem procedure. Speaking about her experience on working on the flick the actress said, “I had to do a lot of ground work to get in to the soul of the character that I play in Cadaver. As part of my groundwork I even witnessed a real time postmortem. And along with our writer Abhilash Pillai and director Anoop Panicker I visited a bunch of hospitals to observe and learn about the procedures and the internal structure of such procedures.” Talking about her role, she stated, “Initially I did not get the complete picture of the part that I was going to play. When I was told that I will be playing a doctor, I thought it would be in the line of a stereotype doctor role. It was only when I began my ground work I understood the significant of the part.”
Commenting on how she felt while watching an autopsy, she said, “It was a difficult experience for me. Obviously, I was shell shocked while watching the procedures. But whatever I learnt for the movie has been a life changing experience for me personally.” The actress previously had talked about wearing the producer’s hat for the first time in her career. The actress wrote a heartfelt thank you note to her colleagues and fans who have been part of her journey, and asked for their support for the new endeavor that she has taken through the venture.
Besides actress Amala Paul, Cadaver has Riythvika Panneerselvam, Munishkanth, Harish Uthaman, Trigun, Vinod Sagar, Jaya Rao, Vaishnavi Pillai, Pasupathi, Nizhalgal Ravi, and Athulya Ravi playing various other supporting parts. Music director Ranjin Raj has composed the music for the flick. Cinematographer Aravind Singh has cranked the camera for the movie. Editor San Lokesh has trimmed the venture. The project is bankrolled by actress Amala Paul under her new banner house Amala Paul Productions.
On the work front, actress Amala Paul who was last seen on screens in Tamil in the investigative thriller Cadaver will next start to shoot for her upcoming Malayalam drama titled Teacher directed by film maker Vivek. Besides these movies, the actress has a Tamil film titled Adho Andha Paravai Pola helmed by director K. R. Vinoth, and a Malayalam flick Aadujeevitham scripted by storyteller Blessy getting shaped in various stages of post-production for release.
