The evolution of Yogi Babu from a comedy artist to a solo lead hero is an inspiring story to many aspiring actors who desires to make it big in the K town. The actor’s recent release Dharma Prabhu in which he has played the lead role has opened up with mixed reviews and the periodic comedy drama has taken a slide in collection at the box office. But the actor has Gurkha and Zombie in his pipeline to take him to the profitable zone.
Now, the trailer of his next comedy entertainer Gurkha has hit the social media and is garnering a good response from the audience. The music sensation rockstar Anirudh Ravichander has launched the trailer of the flick on the social media. Taking to his twitter account the music director has shared the trailer of Gurkha with the note, ‘Happy to launch the Gurkha trailer. Best wishes for a super success.’ The trailer has spoof elements, satire, one-liners and slapsticks. In the couple of minutes cut the actor mouths the dialogue of popular stars in his own witty style which surely tickles our funny bones. At the end we get to see the satire of Blue Sattai Maaran (infamous movie reviewer in the state) already tearing up the movie before its release and tagging a negative review on it. The trailer of Gurkha promises to be a fun ride but we will have to wait to see what the full length movie has got in stores for us.
Director Sam Anton has added satires for a lot of contemporary events that took place in the state recently. The story of the comedy entertainer is about how a mall security saves people that are held as a hostage by a group of terrorists in a mall in the city. A well trained dog which was presented to the audience in the audio launch event of the movie will be seen in a crucial role in the comedy drama. According to sources the project is said to be an unofficial remake of the super hit Hollywood comedy flick, Paul Blart: Mall Cop.
Apart from actors Yogi Babu and Elyssa, the venture has Anand Raj, Livingston, Pradeep Rawat, Ravi Mariya, Manobala, Charle, and Mayilsamy in various other supporting roles. Yogi Babu and foreign model Elyssa Erhardt have moved their legs for a peppy number that is penned by film maker and producer Vignesh Shivan and sung by music director G. V. Prakash Kumar. Guess that is going be real fun as we have already witnessed the actor shake his legs in his own witty style for a song in the dark comedy drama Kolamavu Kokila alongside lady super star Nayanthara.
The motion picture is bankrolled by the director himself under the banner 4 Monkey’s Studio. The music for the project is composed by Raj Aryan. While the cinematography department has been handled by Krishnan Vasanth, Antony L Ruben will be trimming the comedy flick. The project is slated to hit the screens on 12th of July.
