Actor Arjun Das was last seen in a cameo part in the action thriller film Vikram which hit the screens under directorial director Lokesh Kanagaraj with actors Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi, and Fahadh Faasil in the lead roles. The entertainer did not live up to the expectations of the audience. Despite that, the drama went on to be a top box office grosser. The Master actor has now moved on, and is gearing up for the release of his upcoming Tamil Telugu bilingual drama christened Aneethi in which he has essayed the lead role. The Telugu version of the flick is christened Blood & Chocolate. Storyteller Vasanthabalan of Kaaviya Thalaivan fame has written, and helmed the project. The film which went on floors last year with a small pooja ceremony is now done and dusted ready to hit the theaters on July 21st.
The production unit has now shared the teaser of the venture on social media. Taking to their official twitter handle, the production team dropped a poster from the flick and wrote, “Aneethi teaser is out now! The search for justice begins. Aneethi in theatres from July 21st. One and a half minutes long teaser video opens on a beach to a shot of swash touching a person’s feet. Then with an intense background score we are introduced to the characters of the movie. We witness a character shaving off his head. Following which we have a note, ‘When the mind is unlocked. His obsession will become their nightmare.’ Then we have actor Arjun Das announcing a dialogue in a furious tone. The teaser ends with the actor smashing a man’s head to a glass. The teaser has gone viral, and has clocked over a million views till date. Earlier talking to a leading media house in the state, Vasanthabalan said, “Aneethi will be an emotional movie. The story of the drama is centered around corporate layoffs, how that impacts people, especially youngsters, and how they go about life after losing their job. Actor Arjun Das plays an IT employee while actress Dushara Vijayan will be seen as a working middle class woman.”
Beside actor Arjun Das, Aneethi has actress Dushara Vijayan portraying the female lead part. The casting division of the flick has actress Vanitha Vijaykumar, Sha Ra, Bharani, Suresh Chakravarthi, Pugazh, Aranthangi Nisha, Kaali Venkat, Sarah, Arjun Chidambaram, Subramaniam Siva, J Sathish Kumar, and T Siva in various other supporting parts. Music director G V Prakash Kumar has been roped in to score music for the venture. Cinematographer A M Edwin Sakay has cranked the camera for the project. Editor Ravikumar has been brought on board to trim the flick. Art director Suresh Kallery has erected sets for the film. Stunt masters Don Ashok and Phoenix Prabhu have choreographed action moves for the movie. The entertainer is produced by G Vasanthabalan under the production company Pebbles Studio along with Murugan Gnanavel for the banner house SR & DS Pictures, and Varadharajan Manickam and M Krishna Kumar for the production label Urban Boyz Studios. The entertainer is presented by director Shankar under his home banner S Pictures.
On the work front, actor Arjun Das who was last seen on screens in Vikram is currently busy shooting for his upcoming Telugu project christened OG under the direction of film maker Sujeeth in which he will be collaborating with actors Pawan Kalyan and Emraan Hashmi. Beside this film, the actor has Leo scripted by director Lokesh Kanagaraj in which he will be seen in a cameo part alongside actor Vijay, and Dhruva Natchathiram filmed by director Gautham Vasudev Menon in which he has co starred with actors Vikram and Ritu Varma in various stages of post production getting refined for release. On the other hand, actress Dushara Vijayan who was last seen in Kazhuvethi Moorkkan is currently busy shooting for her next drama titled Raayan under the direction of Dhanush in which she will be romancing Dhanush.
