Actor Arulnithi’s DeMonte Colony was a sensational hit in Tamil cinema. The craze around the film was so high that youngsters began to visit the real colony where the movie was shot. Eventually, the entertainer went on to be a massive commercial success in the actor’s career. Story teller R. Ajay Gnanamuthu had directed the drama. Nearly after seven years, the production team declared that they are going to make a sequel for the horror drama. Arulnithi was retained as the lead. Director R. Ajay Gnanamuthu resumed his role as writer and director. Actress Priya Bhavani Shankar was brought on board to play a pivotal role. The entertainer which went on floors four years ago has been in the making since then. Finally, the team has wrapped the shoot and it is officially announced that DeMonte Colony 2 will be in theaters on 15th of August this year.
The makers have now unveiled the trailer of the movie on social media. Taking to her official X account, actress Priya Bhavani Shankar shared the trailer of DeMonte Colony 2 and wrote, “Thrills, chills, and screams galore. Trailer of DeMonte Colony 2. The two and a half minutes trailer opens to the wording ‘Darkness will be unleashed’ with a character suspended upside down by a rope and flocking himself. The trailer then picks up from the climax portion of the first installment recapping the message that no matter where the chain leaves the Demonte house it will always find its way back home one way or another. The shot cuts to the actor in panic mode trying to warn someone, “Listen, I think someone is struck inside. Someone is inside the house.” A character warns them, “Hear me out! Do not go inside! It might be a trick to lure us inside the house.”
Apart from actors Arulnithi and Priya Bhavani Shankar, DeMonte Colony 2 has actors Antii Jaaskelainen, Tsering Dorjee, Arun Pandian, Muthukumar, Meenakshi Govindarajan, Sarjano Khalid, and Archana Ravichandran portraying various supporting roles. The music for the entertainer has been scored by music director Sam C S. Harish Kannan has been trusted with the cinematography department. Editor D Kumaresh has been bestowed with the responsibility to trim the flick. Art director G Ramalingam has engineered sets for the movie. Stunt master Ganesh has choreographed action moves. The entertainer is bankrolled by Bobby Balachandran for his banner label BTG Universal and Vijay Subramaniam along with R C Rajkumar under the production company White Nights Entertainment.
On the work front, actress Priya Bhavani Shankar will next be seen on screens in S Shankar’s directorial Indian 3 with actor Kamal Haasan in lead. She also has a Telugu project christened Zebra directed by Eashvar Karthic in which she will be seen alongside actors Satya Dev and Dhananjaya.
