Actor Ashok Selvan had his last outing in the likes of a short in the anthology web series Modern Love Chennai which recently hit Amazon Prime OTT video streaming platform. The series opened to positive reviews from both critics and audience. Actor Shanthanu Bhagyaraj was last seen on screens in Raavana Koottam which hit the theaters under the direction of Vikram Sugumaran with actress Anandhi as female lead. Both the actors are now gearing up for the release of their upcoming entertainer christened Blue Star. Debutant filmmaker Vignesh Raja has written and directed the movie. Writer Thamizhprabha has assisted with the screenplay. Actress Keerthi Pandian of Thumbaa fame has essayed the female lead role. The venture which went on floors with a small pooja ceremony some time ago is now wrapped, and is in the post production stage getting fine tuned for release.
The production unit has now unveiled the Blue Star Anthem video from the movie on social media. Actor Jiiva has shared the Blue Star Anthem video. Taking to his official twitter account, the actor dropped a link to the Blue Star Anthem and wrote, “Loved the teaser Blue Star Anthem. Love for cricket. Nearly two minute long video opens to a close-up shot of a trophy. Then cuts to a gang of friends reaching a cricket ground by cycle. The video presents us a zestful milieu of college going boys and their passion for cricket. Singer and lyricist Arivu has penned the lyrics for the song. The anthem video has got the attention of cricket lovers in the state, and has sent them gaga over it. The teaser of the entertainer will be out next month. There is news that the production team is working to bring the movie to theaters in the month of July. An official release date is expected to be announced soon.
Apart from actors Ashok Selvan, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, and Keerthi Pandian, the casting division of the entertainer has actors Prithvi Pandiyarajan, Bagavathi Perumal, Elango Kumaravel, Lizzie Antony, Divya Duraisamy, Arun Balaji, Raghav, Shajji, and Balaji portraying various other supporting roles. Music director Govind Vasantha has composed music for the flick. Cinematographer Thamizh A Azhagan has taken care of the cinematography department of the drama. Editor Selva R K has been bestowed with the responsibility to edit the project. Art director Jayaragu L has designed the background for the film. Stunt man Stunner Sam has choreographed action moves for the venture. The drama is produced by Pa Ranjith under the production company Neelam Productions along with R Ganesh Murthy and G Soundarya for the banner label Lemon Leaf Creations PVT LTD.
On the work front, actor Ashok Selvan who had his last outing in the anthology web drama Modern Love Chennai in currently busy shooting for his next entertainer titled Nenjamellam Kaadhal scripted by director Nirman in which he will be collaborating with actress Avantika Mishra, and for Jack crafted by director Prasanth Pandiyaraj. Apart from these dramas, the actor has Saba Nayagan directed by storyteller C S Karthikeyan in which he will be seen alongside actresses Megha Akash, Karthika Muralidharan, and Chandini Chowdary, and Por Thozhil helmed by filmmaker Vignesh Raja in which he has co starred with actress Nikhila Vimal in various stages of post-production shaping up for release. Actor Shanthanu Bhagyaraj is currently busy shooting for his Telugu drama tentatively titled as SSMB 28 filmed by Trivikram Srinivas in which he will be sharing screen space with actors Mahesh Babu, and Pooja Hegde. On the other hand, actress Keerthi Pandian who was last seen on screens in Anbirkiniyal is currently busy shooting for her upcoming venture christened Konjam Pesinaal Yenna under the direction of film maker Giri Murphy in which she will be romancing actor Vinod Kishan.
