Actor Ashok Selvan had a last outing in the likes of the horror comedy Hostel which hit the screens under the direction of story teller Sumanth Radhakrishnan with actress Priya Bhavani Shankar as the female lead. The movie opened to bad reviews from both the audience and critics, and left the theaters unnoticed. But the Pizza II: Villa actor has moved on, and is now getting ready for the release of his upcoming movie christened Nitham Oru Vaanam. The flick is helmed by debutant film maker R. Karthik. Actresses Ritu Varma, Aparna Balamurali, and Sshivada have played the female lead roles. Now, we have an interesting update on the drama.
Earlier this month, the production team had released the character introduction posters and the first look posters of the flick. Now, the production unit has unveiled the teaser of the movie on social media. Actor Ashok Selvan himself has dropped the teaser. Taking to his official twitter account, the actor shared a poster from the flick along with a link to the teaser and wrote, “A film I’m most excited to show u guys! Nitham Oru Vaanam teaser is here! The short video opens to a voiceover while the visuals introduce us to all its lead characters in just a few glimpses. The teaser evokes a warm feeling. The teaser flaunts the sound technical facet of the drama with wide range shots with amazing coloring, and breezy background score. The teaser has got the attention of the youngsters in the state and has them all worked up. Actor Ashok Sevan will be seen as Veera, Arjun, and Prabha. Actress Ritu Varma will play the role of a modern girl Subha, actress Aparna Balamurali will be seen in the role of a village girl Mathi, and actress Shivathmika Rajashekar as a college going girl Meenakshi.
Nitham Oru Vaanam begins in Chennai and travels to Pollachi, Hyderabad, Vizag, Delhi, Chandigarh, Manali, and Kolkata capturing the life journey of its lead characters. Nitham Oru Vaanam will be making its way to the theaters in the month of November. An official announcement regarding the release date of the drama is expected to be made soon. Apart from actors Ashok Selvan, Ritu Varma, Aparna Balamurali, and Shivathmika Rajashekar, Nitham Oru Vaanam has actors Kaali Venkat, Abhirami, and Sshivada, essaying various other supporting parts. Music director Gopi Sundar has composed the music for the film. Cinematographer Vidhu Ayyanna has been behind the lens for the flick. Editor Anthony has trimmed the project. The venture is funded by Sreenidhi Sagar and P. Pupak Pranav Tej for the banner house Rise East Entertainment along with Viacom 18 Studios.
On the work front, actress Aparna Balamurali who was last seen in Tamil in the comedy flick Veetla Vishesham in currently busy shooting for her next Malayalam project christened Padmini filmed by storyteller Senna Hegde in which she will be sharing the screen space with actor Kunchacko Boban, for Ula directed by filmmaker Praveen Prabharam, for Mindiyum Paranjum helmed by Arun Bose in which she will be seen alongside actor Unni Mukundan, and for Kaapa under the direction of story teller Venu in which she will be collaborating with actor Prithviraj Sukumaran. Apart from these projects, the actress has a Malayalam venture christened Ini Utharam filmed by Sudheesh Ramachandran in the post production stage shaping up for release. On the other hand, actress Ritu Varma who was last seen on screens in Tamil in the anthology drama Putham Pudhu Kaalai is getting ready for the release of her long-delayed spy thriller venture Dhruva Natchathiram helmed by film maker Gautham Vasudev Menon in which she has co starred with actors Vikram, Aishwarya Rajesh, and Simran.
