Actor Atharvaa Murali was last seen on screens in Thalli Pogathey which hit the theaters under the direction of storyteller R. Kannan with actress Anupama Parameswaran as female lead. The entertainer did not fare in the box office as expected. The actor has moved on, and is now gearing up for the release of his next project christened Kuruthi Aattam. Director Sri Ganesh of 8 Thottakkal fame has helmed the drama. Actress Priya Bhavani Shankar will be seen in the female lead part. The venture which was announced in the year 2017 has finally been wrapped and is all set to hit the theaters.
Now, the production house has unveiled the trailer of the flick along with the release date of the movie on social media. Kuruthi Aattam will be in theaters on 5th of August this year. Filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj has shared the trailer. Taking to his official twitter account, the director shared the trailer and wrote, “Kuruthi Aattam from August 5th in theaters. Congratulations and all the very best Sri Ganesh, Yuvan Shankar Raja, Atharvaa Murali, Kanna Ravi, and Vatsan Chakravarthi and the entire team.” Here is the trailer shared by the story teller.
The nearly 3 minutes long trailer opens with a long shot and jumps to a bird’s eye view angle covering a convoy. Suddenly a car moving in the convoy explodes. Following which we have a voiceover of actress Radhika Sarathkumar saying, “I know that many of you are plotting for my head. I am not saying this in fear, but in affection. Don’t.” The scene cuts to actress Priya Bhavani Shankar telling, “Children without authoritative upbringing, ruin their life.” We have the hero introduction where actor Atharvaa Murali gets asked by his mate whether he will propose his love to the woman he loves within the end of the year. Subsequent portions give us a glimpse of the lead character, we witness the actor in a Kabbadi match entering the opponent’s court with a mass background score, breaking the bones of henchmen, and performing gravity defying stunts. Actress Radhika Sarathkumar seems to have bagged a meaty role and as usual she does it like a queen. Would be interesting to catch her on screen in Kuruthi Aattam.
Kuruthi Aattam is the tale of war between two rival gangs in Madurai. Apart from actors Atharvaa Murali and Priya Bhavani Shankar, the casting of the film has actors Radhika Sarathkumar, Vatsan Chakravarthy, Vinod Sagar, Kanna Ravi, and Radha Ravi essaying various other supporting parts. The music for the venture has been composed by music director Yuvan Shankar Raja. Cinematographer Dinesh Purushothaman has handled the cinematography department of the flick. The editing division has been handed over to editor Selva R. K. The project is funded by T. Muruganantham for his home banner Rock Fort Entertainment.
On the work front, actor Atharvaa Murali who had a last outing in Thalli Pogathey is currently busy shooting for his next project titled Trigger scripted by story teller Sam Anton in which he will be seen alongside actress Tanya Ravichandran, for Othaikku Oththa filmed by Barnesh in which he has collaborated with actress Vidya Pradeep, and for Nirangal Moondru helmed by Karthick Naren in which he has shared the screen space with actors Sarath Kumar and Rahman. Apart from these dramas, the actor has Rukkumani Vandi Varudhu shot by film maker Raja Mohan in which he has romanced actress Pooja Jhaveri, and Address directed by Raja Mohan in the post production getting shaped for release.
