Actor Atharvaa Murali was last seen on screens in the hyperlink thriller film Nirangal Moondru directed by Karthick Naren with actors Sarathkumar, and Rahman in lead roles. The movie opened to negative reviews and did not do well in the box office. The Kuruthi Aattam actor is now engaged in his upcoming drama which will mark the directorial debut of producer Aakash Baskaran. Actresses Preity Mukundhan of Star fame, and Kayadu Lohar of Dragon fame have been cast as the female leads. The entertainer is in the post production stage. The makers have announced that the movie will hit theaters in the June – July window. An official release date is expected to be revealed soon.
The production team has now unveiled the title announcement video of the flick on social media. The project has been titled Idhayam Murali. Idhayam is the title of Atharvaa’s father Murali’s celebrated classic. Taking to their official X profile, the production team of Dawn Pictures shared a link to the title announcement video of Idhayam Murali and captioned it, “Here’s the title announcement video of Idhayam Murali.” Here is the post made by the production house.
Over five minute odd title announcement clip opens to actor Atharvaa Murali’s voiceover, “What is the first human emotion in the world? Of course, it is love!” We then have a note, ‘Pov: It is Valentine’s Day 2012.’ Following which we have a funny shot where Atharvaa Murali goes for a close shot of Preity Mukundhan. His friend, played by S Thaman intervenes, “Machan, I know where your focus is. At least today, focus on my girlfriend.” Atharvaa Murali responds, “Do not worry. I will click her.” We then have a proposal scene where S Thaman tells his love interest, “Lado! Hereafter, I am not going to love you. It has been five or six years now. We are doctors now. I think it is time to get married. Right here, right now.” The scene cuts to the present, where Atharvaa Murali is in New York and his uncle calls him and says, “Are you joking? An entire town is waiting at your wedding. The CM is attending, and everyone is asking where are you? It is a belief not to let the groom step outside. But you are way off in America!” It ends with the dialogue, “The world’s best lover is not Romeo, Majnu, or Ambikapathy, or even Titanic Jack. It is the one and only Idhayam Murali!”
Apart from Atharvaa Murali, Preity Mukundhan, and Kayadu Lohar, casting unit of Idhayam Murali also has actors Natarajan Subramaniam, S Thaman, Niharika N M, Rakshan, Dravid, Angeline, Pragya, Sudhakar, and Yashashree portraying various supporting roles. Music director Thaman S will also be scoring music for the drama. Cinematographer C H Sai has operated the camera for the flick. Editor Pradeep E Ragav will be working in the editing department of the venture. Art director Senthilkumar Kesavan has erected sets for the movie. Stunt director Jaikumar Vairavan has fashioned action moves in the drama. Idhayam Murali is bankrolled by Aakash Baskaran himself under his production company Dawn Pictures.
On the professional front, actor Atharvaa Murali is awaiting consecutive releases in Address scripted by Rajamohan in which he will be seen alongside actresses Pooja Jhaveri and Dhiya, Thanal directed by Ravindra Madhava in which he has co starred with actress Lavanya Tripathi, and DNA helmed by Nelson Venkatesan in which he has romanced actress Nimisha Sajayan. The Thalli Pogathey star is currently busy shooting for his next project named Parasakthi crafted by Sudha Kongara in which he will be collaborating with actors Sivakarthikeyan, Jayam Ravi, and Sreeleela.
