Actor Atharvaa Murali was last seen in the mass action entertainer Trigger which hit the theaters under the direction of director R. Kannan with actress Priya Bhavani Shankar in the female lead role. The flick opened to negative reviews from the critics and audience alike. As a result, it had a poor commercial business. But the Kuruthi Aattam actor has now moved on to his next project, and is currently gearing up for the release of his next venture christened Pattathu Arasan. Director A Sarkunam of Vaagai Sooda Vaa fame has directed the entertainer. The movie will mark the second time association of the director with the actor after Chandi Veeran.
Recently, the production unit sent the drama to the censor board for certification. The film has been tagged with a U certificate. Now, the production house has announced that news along with the release date of the flick with an announcement video on social media. Pattathu Arasan is slated to hit the screens on 25th of this month. Taking to their official twitter account, the production unit shared the announcement video and wrote, “Let’s make some noise for the Pattathu Arasan coming to screens near “U” on 25th Nov!” Here is the post shared by the production team.

Pattathu Arasan is touted to be a rural drama in which veteran actor Raj Kiran plays the grandfather of actor Atharvaa Murali. The production house had recently released the first look poster of the entertainer, which had both Atharvaa Murali and Raj Kiran in rural attire walking fiercely. The first look poster has had a good reception among the audience, and has set high expectations on the movie.
Apart from actor Atharvaa Murali, Pattathu Arasan has actress Ashika Ranganath making her debut as female lead in Tamil cinema. The casting division of the flick has actors Raj Kiran, Radikaa Sarathkumar, JP, R K Suresh, Singam Puli, Ravi Khale, Sathru, Bala Saravanan, Raj Ayyappa, and G M Kumar playing various other supporting parts. Music director Ghibran has composed the music for the film. Cinematographer Lokanathan has been behind the camera for the drama. The editing department of the entertainer has been handed over to editor Raja Mohammed. Master Kanal Kannan has choreographed the action sequences. The flick is produced by Allirajah Subaskaran under his production house Lyca Productions.
On the work front, actor Atharvaa Murali who was last seen on screens in the action-drama Trigger is currently busy shooting for his upcoming project christened Othaikku Oththa directed by film maker Barnesh in which he will be romancing actress Vidya Pradeep, and for Nirangal Moondru directed by story teller Karthick Naren in which he will be collaborating with actors Rahman and Sarath Kumar. Besides these ventures, the actor has Address scripted by storyteller Raja Mohan, and Rukkumani Vandi Varudhu helmed by film maker Raja Mohan in which he has collaborated with actress Pooja Jhaveri, in various stages of post-production getting shaped for release.
On the other hand, actress Ashika Ranganath who had her last outing in the Kannada project Kaaneyaadavara Bagge Prakatane is currently busy shooting for her next venture titled O2 helmed by directors Prashanth Raj and Raghav Naayak in which she will be seen alongside actor Praveen Tej. The actress will soon begin to shoot for Gatha Vaibhava which is set to be filmed by Simple Suni with actor Dushyanth in the lead. Besides these projects, the actress has a Kannada drama Raymo helmed by Pawan Wadeyar in which she has teamed up with actor Ishan, and a Telugu venture Amigos filmed by Rajendra Reddy in which she has collaborated with actor Nandamuri Kalyan Ram in the post production getting fine-tuned for release.
