Actor Bharath fell in the attention of Tamil cinema audience right away with his debut film Boys. Though it was a tepid start, he then went on to bolster his career by displaying his prowess as a performer with his critically acclaimed performances in Kaadhal, Pattiyal, Em Magan, Veyil, and Ainthu Ainthu Ainthu. The Last 6 Hours actor had his last outing earlier this year in Ippadiku Kadhal helmed by Bharath Mohan with actress Janani in the female lead role. He is now gearing up for the release of his upcoming hyperlink thriller drama titled Once Upon A Time In Madras. Actress Pavithra Lakshmi of Cooku With Comali fame has portrayed the female lead role in the movie. Veteran actress Abirami has played a pivotal part. Filmmaker Prasadh Murugan has written and directed the drama. Once Upon A Time In Madras is all set to be released on 26th of September.
The makers have now released the teaser of the flick on social media. Taking to his official X profile, storyteller Vijay Milton dropped a poster from the film along with a link to the teaser of Once Upon A Time In Madras and wrote, “It’s here. Once Upon A Time In Madras movie teaser. Prepare to be captivated.” Here is the post made by the film maker.
Nearly one minute teaser opens to actress Abirami, a sanitary worker riding a mini dump truck. The shot cuts to a character asking, “There is a work. Would you deliver?” Then we are introduced to actor Bharath who says, “I need all this money.” We are then presented with multiple characters firing shots. Earlier speaking to a media house about the entertainer, actor Bharath said, “I chose Once Upon A Time In Madras for the similar reasons I picked Pattiyal and Em Magan. It has a striking element to it. I agreed to play my role right away after listening to my segment.” Talking about the drama, actress Abirami stated, “Once Upon A Time In Madras” threads on various factors like crime, action, politics, and a range of emotions. The film has also got its representations right by casting a proper trans person to play a key trans person character instead of opting to cast a male.”
Apart from actors Bharath, Abirami, and Pavithra Lakshmi, Once Upon A Time In Madras has actors Shaan, Thalaivasal Vijay, PGS, Anjali Nair, Rajaji, Syed, Sini, and Kalki depicting various supporting parts. Music director Jose Franklin has handled musical gears for the venture. Cinematographers K S Kalidoss and R Kannan have worked in tandem to capture the movie. Editor San Lokesh has been brought onboard to edit the drama. Art director V K Natarajan has designed the background for the film. Stunt man Sugan has choreographed action blocks. Once Upon A Time In Madras is produced by Captain MP Anand in association with Haroon, Bala, and PGS under his production label Friday Film Factory.
On the professional front, actor Bharath will soon begin to shoot for his next project titled Kaalidas 2 which is set to be directed by Sri Senthil.
