Actor Balaji Murugadoss became a familiar face in the state following his brief spell in the reality show Bigg Boss Tamil season 4. Afterward, he participated in the first season of Tamil Bigg Boss Ultimate and went on to bag the title. His popularity skyrocketed after his success in the show. His fame swiftly red carpeted him to silver screens through the comedy flick Va Varalam Va helmed by story tellers R Suresh Babu and L G Ravichandhar. Unfortunately, the entertainer was pinned with poor reviews by critics and left theaters unnoticed. The rising star is now gearing up for the release of his next project christened Fire. Actor and producer J S K Sathish Kumar is set to make his debut as a director in Kollywood with Fire. Writer S K Jeeva has penned dialogues for the venture. Actresses Rachitha Mahalakshmi of Xtreme fame and Chandini Tamilarasan of Naan Avalai Sandhitha Pothu fame have depicted the female lead roles in the entertainer.Â
The production house has been aggressively promoting the movie on multiple streams for the past two months. Now they have officially announced the release date of the venture on social media. Fire is poised to be released worldwide in theaters on 21st of February this year. Taking to her official X handle, actress Sakshi Agarwal unveiled a poster from the drama and captioned it, “Fire Tamil movie is releasing on February 21st! The trailer of the film which was released last year showed actor Balaji Murugadoss as a womanizer taking his shot at multiple women. A man missing case and a slew of murders added to the mystery angle of the plot. Fire is touted to be based on a true criminal case that transpired in Nagercoil in 2020 in which hundreds of women were sexually abused and subjected to extortion by a young man. Apart from Balaji Murugadoss, Chandini Tamilarasan, and Rachitha Mahalakshmi, the entertainer also has Sakshi Agarwal, social media model Gayathri Shan, Singampuli, and Suresh Chakravarthi essaying pivotal supporting roles.Â
Music director D M Udhayakumar has been roped in to oversee the musical department of the flick. G Sathish has taken care of the cinematography division of the drama. Editor C S Prem Kumar has been bestowed with the responsibility to chop and patch the flick. Art director S S Suseedevaraj has erected sets for the movie. Stunt master Dinesh Kasi has choreographed action moves for the drama. The film is bankrolled by J S K Sathish Kumar himself for his home banner JSK Film Corporation.Â
On the work front, actor Balaji Murugadoss will next be seen on screens in Retta Thala crafted by storyteller Thiru Kumaran in which he will be seen alongside actors Arun Vijay, Siddhi Idnani, and Tanya Ravichandran. On the other hand, actress Rachitha Mahalakshmi is currently busy shooting for her upcoming project U R Next filmed by M D Sharif in which she will be co starring with actors Udhaya, K S Ravi Kumar, and Janani.
