The 2017 film, Bogan was a hugely successful film. The film starred Jayam Ravi and Arvind Swami in the lead roles and went on to become a box-office success. Now the film is all set to get its Telegu remake. Lakshman, who directed the Tamil film, will also sit on the director’s chair for the Telegu one as well. The name of the Telegu remake has not been decided yet. But the film will star Catherine Tresa to play the female lead role in the film.
“Catherine reprises Hansika’s role from the original. She is kicked about being part of the project as she really liked Bogan,” a source from the film’s unit revealed recently.
Catherine will star opposite Ravi Teja, who will be reprising Jayam Ravi’s character from the original.
The source also revealed that, “Arvind Swami won’t be part of the remake. The makers are on the lookout for someone to play his role. He was not keen on doing another remake after last year’s Dhruva.”
The film will hit the floors in November, and the director has changed the second half for the remake. “In the remake, the second half will be even more emotional. These changes are being made to suit Telugu sensibilities,” the source said.
