Director Selvaraghavan surprised the Tamil audience by taking up acting through an extended cameo role in actor Vijay’s Beast. He reaffirmed that his acting endeavor was not a whim with an impressive performance in his sophomore venture Saani Kaayidham alongside actress Keerthy Suresh. The actor had his last outing both as a director and actor in Naane Varuven, which had his brother and actor Dhanush in the lead role. The movie hit the screens amid high expectations, but unfortunately fell flat in the box office. Now, the storyteller has put that behind him, and is getting ready as a performer for the release of his next drama titled Bakasuran. Cinematographer and actor Natarajan Subramanian will be seen in a vital part in the flick. Controversial storyteller G Mohan of Draupadi and Rudra Thandavam fame has written and helmed the entertainer.Â
The production team had recently sent the movie to the censor board for certification. Now, we have news that the entertainer has been tagged with a U/A certificate. The production unit has shared the news on social media along with detail regarding its release. Bakasuran is slated to hit the screens in the month of February this year.
