Director Selvaraghavan wore the actor’s hat for the first time in actor Vijay’s Beast. He followed it with an impressive performance in his sophomore flick Saani Kaayidham alongside actress Keerthy Suresh. The actor was last seen on screens in a supporting role in Naane Varuven which hit the theaters under his own direction with his brother and actor Dhanush in the lead role. The entertainer did not live up to the expectations of the audience and hence tanked. Now, the actor has moved on, and is gearing up for the release of his upcoming drama titled Bakasuran. Cinematographer and actor Natarajan Subramanian has played a pivotal role in the flick. Controversial storyteller G Mohan of Draupadi and Rudra Thandavam fame has directed the entertainer. The production team had released the teaser of the film on social media a couple of months back. The teaser has enjoyed a great reception among the audience, and has clocked millions of views till date.Â
Now, the production unit has dropped the trailer of the movie on social media. Actor Selvaraghavan himself has unveiled the trailer. Taking to his official twitter handle the actor shared the trailer of the drama and wrote, “Here is Bakasuran Trailer. Protect what’s yours. The nearly three-minute trailer cut opens with a tense background score. In the visuals we see a character ask Selvaraghavan which his hometown is. To which he responds Cuddalore. Then we witness actor Natarajan Subramanian enquiring a character, “Is really your brother’s name Dheemarasu or does he have any other name?” The character responds, “No sir. His name is Rajaseker Gachirayar.” Then the scene cuts to a police officer briefing her superior, “A murder case sir. Wife was shot dead. Husband is the suspect. We have ceased the gun. But we did not get any bullet from the spot.” The trailer ends with Selvaraghavan’s character saying, “Does not matter what happens in life, you have to fight back. But do not give up your self-respect. If we lose discipline, everything will be ruined.” The trailer is pacy and intense. Usually, the teaser and trailer of G Mohan’s films create a lot of noise in the social forums. Thankfully, Bakasuran has not. But we will have to wait and see whether there are any controversial elements in this movie. An official announcement regarding the release date of the venture is expected to be made soon.Â
Apart from actors Selvaraghavan and Natarajan Subramanian, Bakasuran has actors Radha Ravi, Rajan K, Rams, Saravanan, Subbiah, D Gunanithi, Tharakshi, Mansoor Ali Khan, Devadharshini, P L Thennappan, Cool Suresh, Sasi Laya, Lavanya, Pondy Ravi, Kutty Gopi, and Arunodhayan in various other supporting roles. Master Mirattal Selva has designed the action moves for the drama. Art director S Kamalanathan has erected the sets for the venture. The project is bankrolled by director G Mohan himself under his production label G M Film Corporation.Â
