Actor Arulnithi is one of the artists of Tamil cinema with an impressive choice of films. His picks right from his debut venture Vamsam, Mouna Guru, Thagaraaru, Demonte Colony, and Iravukku Aayiram Kangal stand as a corroboration to it. The actor was last seen on screens along with actor Jiiva in storyteller N. Rajasekar’s Kalathil Santhippom which hit the theaters last year. The film did not fare well at the box office. The Naalu Policeum Nalla Irundha Oorum actor is currently gearing up for the release of his next Tamil Telugu bilingual mystery thriller flick christened Dejavu. Debutant film maker Arvindh Srinivasan has directed the movie. Actress Smruthi Venkat has played the female lead role.
Now, the production house has launched the trailer and announced the release date of the flick on social media. The venture is all set to hit the screens on 22nd of July. Actor and producer Udhayanithi Stalin has shared the trailer. Taking to his official twitter account, he shared the trailer of the movie, and wrote, “Very glad to launch my brother Arulnithi starrer Dejavu trailer. Congrats Arvindh Srinivasan.” Here is the trailer shared by the politician.
The two minutes ten seconds trailer opens with a drunk man in a police station introducing himself as a writer, and complaints to a cop that his fictional characters are threatening him in real life. The cop laughs at his claim. A higher official played by veteran actress Madhoo questions the believability factor of his complaint. In the next few quick sequences things get intricate when the stories written by the writer occur in real life. We have the hero intro, with Arulnithi walking into the scene donning goggles on the way. He has been assigned to the case. He demands to Madhoo that he would handle the case in his style and that there should not be any interference. He begins his investigation and the case keeps getting complex. Towards the end the writer says if the crimes are perpetrated just because he is writing them, then he would quit writing. The trailer ends with Arulnithi intimidating him to write, and tells him what he pens must happen, if anybody attempts to hinder, he would simply gun them down.
The trailer with some exhilarating and spine-chilling portions has upped the expectations on the movie. Apart from actors Arulnithi and Smruthi Venkat, the casting department of the drama has actors Madhoo, Achyuth Kumar, Kaali Venkat, Mime Gopi, Ragav Vijay, and Chetan K playing various other supporting parts. The musical instruments for the venture have been handled by music director Ghibran. Cinematographer P. G. Muthiah has shouldered the camera for the film. The editing division of the entertainer has been handed over to editor Arul E Siddharth. The movie is funded by Vijay Pandi K under the production house White Carpet Films along with P. G. Muthiah for his banner house PG Media Works.
On the work front, actor Arulnithi who was last seen in Kalathil Santhippom is busy shooting for his upcoming project titled D Block helmed by director Vijay Kumar Rajendran in which he will be seen alongside actress Avantika Mishra, and for Dairy under the direction of film maker Innasi Pandiyan in which he will be sharing the screen space with actress Pavithra Marimuthu.
