Actor Arun Vijay lastly entertained audiences earlier this year in the action drama Vanangaan helmed by storyteller Bala with actress Roshni Prakash in the female lead role. The drama opened to mixed reviews from critics and had a decent box office collection. The Chekka Chivantha Vaanam actor is now getting ready for the release of his upcoming action thriller titled Retta Thala. Director Kris Thirukumaran, who has previously delivered projects like Maan Karate and Gethu, has penciled and directed the flick. Actresses Siddhi Idnani of Kathar Basha Endra Muthuramalingam fame and Tanya Ravichandran of Nenjuku Needhi fame have been cast as the female leads in the film. The entertainer which went on floors last year with a small pooja ceremony has now been wrapped. It has been shot in the localities of Chennai, Tharangampadi, Pondicherry, and Goa.

Actresses Nithya Menen and Shalini Pandey will be portraying the female lead roles in the drama. Apart from this movie, he his long-delayed venture christened Borrder filmed by storyteller Arivazhagan in the shelves waiting to see the light of day. On the other side, actress Siddhi Idnani will have a release in Hindi this summer in Kapkapiii directed by Sangeeth Sivan with actors Tusshar Kapoor and Shreyas Talpade in lead roles.
