Putting aside all the controversies and personal stuff, actor Dhanush is back to business and has been working in full-fledged mode. The Thulluvadho Ilamai actor was last seen in film maker Karthick Naren’s Maaran which was released on the OTT platform. The film fell short of expectations and as a result did not fare in the box office as expected. The actor is now gearing up for the release of his next romantic comedy titled Thiruchitrambalam. Film maker Mithran Jawahar who has directed actor Dhanush previously in Yaaradi Nee Mohini, Kutty, and Uthamaputhiren has helmed the entertainer. The movie has been shaping up at a brisk pace in the post production. Now, we have an update regarding the release of the drama.
We have news that the venture is all set to hit the screens on 1st of July this year. The distributor of the drama Udhayanidhi Stalin has shared the news. The producer and actor recently sat down for a chat with a leading media house in the state, as part of promoting his upcoming flick Nenjuku Needhi. In the interview he was asked about the projects that his production house is currently involved in. Responding to that, the actor revealed that the upcoming venture Thiruchitrambalam distributed by his production house Red Giant Movie will be hitting the screens on 1st of July. And that the team has asked him to block the date with the theaters for the release.
Thiruchitrambalam is said to have two parallel plotlines. One involving actor Dhanush’s college days, and the other depicting his adult life. If the reports are to be believed, it is a story about how he gets entangled in multiple love affairs and manages to balance them. Director Mithran Jawahar is known for churning out comedy dramas, Thiruchitrambalam is expected to be in that line. Since, all the three films that the duo worked on did commercially well, the anticipation for the project is quite high.
Apart from actor Dhanush, the project has actresses Raashi Khanna, Nithya Menon, and Priya Bhavani Shankar in the female lead roles. Veteran actors Prakash Raj and Bharathiraja will be seen in key supporting roles. Rockstar Anirudh Ravichander has taken care of the musical department of the film. Actor Dhanush and Anirudh Ravichander have come together for a project nearly after five years and the expectation levels on the music album of the movie has skyrocketed. Cinematographer Om Prakash has been behind the camera for the movie. Editor Prasanna G. K has handled the editing department of the flick. The drama is bankrolled by Kalanithi Maran under the banner house Sun Pictures.
On the work front, actor Dhanush who was last seen on screens in the action entertainer Maaran is currently busy shooting for his next Tamil Telugu bilingual venture christened Vaathi directed by Venky Atluri in which he will be sharing the screen space with actress Samyuktha Menon, and for Naane Varuven under the directorial of film maker Selvaraghavan in which he will be romancing actress Indhuja Ravichandran. Apart from these projects, the actor is also busy shooting for his upcoming Hollywood project titled The Gray Man directed by film makers Christopher Markus and Joe Russo in which he will be seen alongside actors Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans, and Ana De Armas.
