Chiyan Vikram’s son Dhruv is making his debut in Tamil industry with the upcoming romantic movie ‘Varma’, which is a remake of Telugu super hit film ‘Arjun Reddy’. The latest buzz about the movie is that is set to be released in the theatres in February 2019.
The film is directed by ace Director Bala and Dhruv will replay the character played by Vijay Devarakonda. Bengal-based model Megha plays the female lead and Bigg Boss 1 fame Raiza Wilson will be seen in a pivotal role. Akash Premkumar plays Dhruv’s best friend in the movie. The film was briefly shot in places like Chennai, Tiruvannamalai, and Kathmadu in Nepal.
‘Arjun Reddy’ is based on the story of a medical surgeon Arjun Reddy (Vijay Devarakonda), who falls in love with his college junior Preethi (Shalini Pandey). Arjun falls into depression and become an alcoholic post break-up and the remaining part of the film is about how he redeems himself.
The film is produced by Mukesh Mehta under the E 4 Entertainment and the film dialogues were written by the National Award-winning Director Raju Murugan. M.Sasikumar has been roped in for cinematography and Sathish Suriya is the editor of the film who has previously worked with Bala in his movie ‘Naachiyar’.
