Actor Arulnithi who has a reputation for picking up his projects was last seen on screens in Dejavu which hit the theaters last week under the direction of storyteller Arvindh Srinivasan. The movie opened up to mixed reviews from the critics and audience alike. The Naalu Policeum Nalla Irundha Oorum actor is currently gearing up for the release of his next mystery thriller titled Diary. He has shed 20 kilos to play his part in the entertainer. Debutant director Innasi Pandiyan erstwhile assistant of director Ajay Gnanamuthu has helmed the drama. Actress Pavithra Marimuthu will be seen in the female lead role. The shooting for the film was happening in full swing in and around the surroundings of Chennai, Coimbatore, Ooty, and Coonoor. Finally, the shoot has been over, and the flick is in the post production getting fine tuned for release.
Now, the production house has shared the trailer of the flick on social media. Taking to their official twitter handle, the production house shared the trailer of the entertainer with the caption, “It’s time to traverse the shocking mysteries from the pages of Diary .” Here is the trailer shared by the production company.
The two minutes odd cut, opens with a newscast voiceover saying that on the way to Ooty from Mettupalayam at the 13th hairpin bend the number of accidents has been increasing. There have been many mysterious stories surrounding these accidents. The trailer jumps to next cluster of scenes, and through a different voiceover we are told that the danger involved during the investigation of new cases is less, whereas when the investigation is reopened for cases that were sidelined without evidence, pose grave danger. The visuals have actor Arulnithi investigating the case. Another voice over adds that our eyes can only witness the present. But the past and future will be right besides us. But it won’t be visible to everyone. The trailer ends with the actor saying, “Sir, something unlawful is happening. But it has been evading from my grasp.”
The camera, lighting, and the background score appears to be solid in the short video. The trailer promises a drama that is technically sound. Actor Arulnithi, portrays the role of a cop while actress Pavithra Marimuthu will be seen as a doctor who has returned to Tamil Nadu from Singapore. It is said that the banner house is in plans to bring the movie to theaters on 11th of August this year. The trailer dropped by the production team is sure to get the expectation levels high among the cinephiles.
Apart from actors Arulnithi, and Pavithra Marimuthu the casting department of the film has actors Shah Ra, Aadukalam Kishore, Jayaprakash, Chaams, TSR, Thanigai, and Nakkalites Dhanam essaying various other supporting roles. The music for the venture will be composed by music director Ron Ethan Yohann of Maya fame. The cinematography department has been taken care of by cinematographer Aravinnd Singh. Editor Raja Sethupathy will be editing the drama. The movie is produced by S Kathiresan under the banner house Five Star Creations LLP.
On the work front, actor Arulnithi who was last seen in Dejavu is currently busy shooting for his upcoming flick christened D Block under the direction of film maker Vijay Kumar Rajendran in which he will be sharing the screen space with actress Avantika Mishra.
