No one can forget the impact that the item song “Oo Antava” has created on the blockbuster hit “Pushpa: The Rise”. The scintillating dance moves of Samantha Ruth Prabhu have taken the internet by storm and have garnered much-needed Pan-India attention. Now Director Sukumar is planning to do a similar kind of track for its sequel “Pusha: The Rule”. The interesting update for Indian cinema fans is that Bollywood sensation Disha Patani who is known for attracting dance moves has been roped into the song. Allu Arjun’s movie is being made at a brisk pace and is expected to hit screens on Independence Day this year.
Samantha’s “Oo Antava” was one of the major reasons for Pushpa: The Rise’s terrific box-office numbers. The song was an instant hit across various languages and several reels were made with the song which has given free promotion for the movie. It has been reflected in its box-office numbers. So the Movie team is planning for a similar kind of track and music director Devi Sri Prasad is working hard to repeat the same magic. To gain Pan-India attention Director Sukumar has been looking for a known face with the ability to match Samantha’s Charisma. He finally locked Disha for the role.
Meanwhile, Disha is currently concentrating on South Indian movies as of now. She is currently pairing opposite Ace South Indian Star Surya for the project titled “Kanguva” Directed by Siruthai Siva. The movie has been made with a whopping budget of 350 crores. This Pan-Indian flick is expected to hit screens in the latter part of this year. She is also signed for yet another Pan Indian Project “Kalki 2898 AD” starring opposite Prabhas. Besides these two the project has also got Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Hassan doing pivotal roles.
Coming Back to Pusha: The Rise, the project has witnessed several delays but is all set for a grand Independence Day release this year. As per the latest reports, the story has got even more drama than its prequel and Fahath Fasil is doing the role of an antagonist and Rashmika Mandanna is pairing opposite Allu Arjun. The story is all about how the common wage worker raises himself as a Don of the illegal Sandalwood Mafia. Bankrolled by Mythiri Movie Makers the movie has got a huge budget of 500 crores.
Miroslaw Kuba Brozek is taking care of camera work for the movie and Ruben is doing editing for the Tamil version and Karthika Srinivas is handling the rest of the versions. As the expectations about the song are going to be sky-high it will be interesting to see how Disha manages to pull off the expectations. Disha has already proved her mantle in Bollywood movies so Cinema Pundits predicts that she is a very good choice and capable of shouldering these huge expectations.
