Actor Karthi last graced the silver screen in a cameo role in his brother Suriya’s Kanguva directed by film maker Siruthai Siva with actress Disha Patani in the female lead role. The Japan actor had earlier starred in the super hit spy action thriller drama Sardar which hit the screen in the year 2022. He is now gearing up for the release of the sequel of the movie. Storyteller P S Mithran, who had crafted the first installment of the franchise, has retained his roles in the second part as well. He has written the script of the movie along with writer Rathna Kumar. Actress Raashii Khanna who played the female lead in the first part has been replaced by actress Malavika Mohanan of Thangalaan fame. Versatile actor S J Suryah has portrayed a prominent role in the flick. The project was shot in the localities of Chennai, Azerbaijan, and Kazakhstan.
The shoot for the entertainer was wrapped earlier this year. We now have news that the dubbing work for the drama has begun. The production house themselves has announced the news on social media. Taking to their official X account, the production team of Prince Pictures dropped a few snaps from the dubbing studio and captioned it, “Sardar 2 – dubbing begins with an auspicious pooja. Produced by S Lakshman Kumar and co-produced by Venkatesh.” Here is the post made by the production unit.
Sardar 2 Karthi Dubbing
In one of the snaps shared by the makers, actor Karthi is seen sitting in a chair with a grim expression on his face and dubbing for his part. The other two photos are of the team offering prayers before the start of dubbing. The production unit is planning to bring the venture to theaters this summer. Apart from Karthi, S J Suryah, and Malavika Mohanan, the casting crew of Sardar 2 also has actors Ashika Ranganath, Rajisha Vijayan, Babu Antony, and Sajol Ahamed essaying various supporting characters.
The technical side of the film has music director Yuvan Shankar Raja composing music for the entertainer. The project marks the seventh association of Yuvan Shankar Raja and Karthi following their chartbusters in Paruthiveeran, Paiyaa, Naan Mahaan Alla, Biriyani, Sulthan, and Viruman. Cinematographer George C Williams has handled camera gears for the drama. Editor Vijay Velukutty has been signed in to bring coherence to the flick. Art director S Ayyappan has erected sets for the entertainer. Stunt man Dhilip Subbarayan has fashioned action moves for the venture. Sardar 2 is backed by S Lakshman Kumar in association with Venkatesh under the banner house Prince Pictures.
On the professional front, actor Karthi will next be seen on screens in Vaa Vaathiyaar directed by Nalan Kumarasamy in which he has shared screen space with actors Sathyaraj, Krithi Shetty and Shilpa Manjunath. The Ponniyin Selvan actor is presently busy shooting for his future projects Kaithi 2 crafted by story teller Lokesh Kanagaraj in which he will be seen alongside actors Arjun Das & Narain, and a flick tentatively christened Karthi 29 filmed by director Thamizh. On the other hand, actress Malavika Mohanan is eagerly anticipating the release of her next Telugu movie The Raja Saab scripted by Maruthi in which she has collaborated with actors Prabhas and Nidhhi Agerwal.
