Actress Dushara Vijayan impressed Tamil cinema audience with her stellar performances in Pa Ranjith’s directorial Sarpatta Parambarai and Natchathiram Nagargiradhu. The Bodhai Yeri Budhi Maari actress has once again added another quill to her performer’s hat with her remarkable performance as Durga in Dhanush’s 50th film and sophomore directorial Raayan which got released last week. Actors Sundeep Kishan and Kalidas Jayaram have equally put on a show as younger brothers of Dhanush in the film. Actress Dushara Vijayan’s performance in the drama received critical acclamations from all directions.
The Anbulla Ghilli actress seems to be overwhelmed by the compliments that have been sent her way since the release of the drama. So now she has written a heartfelt thank you note expressing her gratitude to everyone and specifically to Dhanush for giving her the opportunity. She has posted the letter on social media. Taking to her official X account, the actress shared the letter with the caption, “Grateful.” Here is the post made by the actress.

She begins the letter straight away by expressing her gratitude, “I am truly grateful for the incredible love and support you have shown towards ‘Raayan’. Your positive response and kind words have truly touched me and made all my hard work worthwhile.” Stating about the journey of Raayan, she writes, “The journey of ‘Raayan’ from its beginning to becoming a mega blockbuster hit has been amazing. I deeply appreciate the media for their constant coverage and support, which helped us reach a wide audience. Your attention to the film’s story and performances has played a key role in its success.”
Adding further she wrote, “A huge thank you to my director and inspiration, Dhanush sir, for his outstanding guidance and vision. I extend my sincere gratitude to sun pictures for bringing this project to life. To my audience, your enthusiasm and love for ‘Durga’ has exceeded all expectations. Your support has been the driving force behind this achievement. Your ongoing support motivates me to continue striving for excellence.”
Apart from Dhanush, Dushara Vijayan, Sundeep Kishan, and Kalidas Jayaram, cast of Raayan also includes actors Prakash Raj, Aparna Balamurali, Selvaraghavan, Jayaram, Saravanan, Aranthangi Nisha, Anikha Surendran, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, and Dushyanth Ramkumar. Musician A R Rahman has scored music for the flick. Cinematographer Om Prakash has been behind the lens. Editor G K Prasanna took care of the editing division. Action master Peter Hein has designed action blocks. The venture is funded by Kalanithi Maran under his banner house Sun Pictures.
On the work front, actress Dushara Vijayan will soon be seen on screens alongside superstar Rajinikanth in Vettaiyan crafted by storyteller T J Gnanavel. She is currently engaged in her upcoming drama christened Veera Dheera Sooran directed by filmmaker S U Arun Kumar. She will be co starring with actor Vikram in the drama.
