Actor Aari made his debut in Kollywood through the flick Aadum Koothu directed by T. V. Chandran but unfortunately the venture did not hit the theaters and got released directly to television. Following it the actor starred in couple of unnoticed films such as Rettaisuzhi, Maalai Pozhudhin Mayakathilaey before landing in the lead role in the romantic crime drama Nedunchaalai which hit the theaters in the year 2014 under the directorial of N. Krishna in which the actor romanced Sshivada. The project was critically acclaimed by the critics in the industry along with actor Aari’s performance as a road mugger. Now, the actor is gearing up for the release of his next film.
The project which is titled as Ellaam Mela Irukuravan Paathuppan is expected to hit the screens in the month of September. Touted to be a science fiction entertainer the drama is scripted and directed by debutant story teller U. Kaviraj. The production unit has now unveiled the trailer of the flick on social media. The couple of minutes cut take us on a journey to explore the concept of god and the god particle. From the trailer we can comprehend that the life of Aari is filled with mishaps and financial barriers but his life changes when he comes in to possession of god particle. Though his friends suggest him that he might face trouble for having the god particle under his possession, he stays stubborn and keeps it with him. The trailer is fresh and promises to be a fresh script and stands absent from the regular template masala movies of Tamil cinema. We will have to wait to see whether the movie lives up to the expectation that it created through its trailer.
Speaking about the project, actor Aari stated that, “This is a commercial science fiction entertainer. Generally, in our industry we do not opt for this genre as the audience can catch Hollywood flicks for the same ticket price with a great quality as they are made with a whooping budget. But I hope the audience will enjoy our flick as we have given our best in terms of technical wise as well.” It has been some time since a film hit the screens under the science fiction genre. Ellaam Mela Irukuravan Paathuppan is set to capitalize on the void. In fact, the project is set to have alien characters in it. So the project becomes the only second film to have alien characters in Tamil cinema after Kalai Arasi which hit the theaters 56 years before with veteran actor and former Chief Minister of the state honorable DR. MGR in the lead role.
Apart from actor Aari, the casting of the movie has Shaashvi Bala, Motta Rajendran, and Bhagavathy Perumal in various other supporting roles. The music for the venture is composed by Karthik Aarchiya. While Laxman Kumar has handled the cinematography department of the venture, Goutham Ravichandran has taken care of the editing department. The motion picture is bankrolled by Mohammed Abubaker under the banner Rowther Films.
On the work front, actor Aari is currently busy shooting for his next drama titled as Aleka directed by S. S. Raja Mithran. Besides this project the actor also has Mounavalai, Maane Thaene Paeye, and Kadai Enn 6 in his pipeline.
