Actor Ashok Selvan was last seen on screens in the horror comedy Hostel which hit the theaters under the direction of film maker Sumanth Radhakrishnan with actress Priya Bhavani Shankar as the female lead. The entertainer opened to negative reviews and left the theaters unnoticed. But the Thegidi actor has put that behind, and is gearing up for the release of his next drama titled Nitham Oru Vaanam. The movie is directed by newbie director R. Karthik. Actresses Ritu Varma, Aparna Balamurali, and Sshivada have essayed the female lead roles. Now, we have an interesting update on the drama.
The entertainer which went on floors a long time ago has finally been wrapped, and is getting shaped in the post production for release. Earlier this month, the production unit had released the character introduction posters of three female leads in the flick. Now, the production unit has shared the first look posters of the entertainer on social media. Actor Ashok Selvan himself has dropped the posters. Taking to his official twitter handle the actor shared three posters from the flick introducing his characters and wrote, “One project where I surprised myself. A project I’m most excited to showcase to you guys. Presenting the 3 characters of Nitham Oru Vaanam that I got to play. Movie coming your way real soon. Out of the three first look posters, the actor looks rugged in one, as a nerd in another, and a young family man in the third. The three different getups go by the names Veera, Arjun, and Prabha. Actress Ritu Varma will play the role of a modern girl Subha, actress Aparna Balamurali will be seen in the role of a village girl Mathi, and actress Shivathmika Rajashekar as a college going girl Meenakshi. Nitham Oru Vaanam begins in Chennai and travels to Pollachi, Hyderabad, Vizag, Delhi, Chandigarh, Manali, and Kolkata capturing the life journey of its lead characters. An announcement regarding the release date of the drama is expected to be made soon.
Besides actors Ashok Selvan, Ritu Varma, Aparna Balamurali, and Shivathmika Rajashekar, Nitham Oru Vaanam has actors Kaali Venkat, Abhirami, and Sshivada, playing various other supporting roles. Music director Gopi Sundar has handled the music instruments for the entertainer. The cinematography department of the flick has been taken care of by cinematographer Vidhu Ayyanna. Editor Anthony has been bestowed with the responsibility to edit the movie. The drama is produced by Sreenidhi Sagar and P. Pupak Pranav Tej under the production house Rise East Entertainment along with Viacom 18 Studios.
On the work front, actress Aparna Balamurali who was last seen in Tamil in the comedy drama Veetla Vishesham in currently busy shooting for her upcoming Malayalam venture titled Ula under the directorial of story teller Praveen Prabharam, for Padmini helmed by director Senna Hegde in which she will be seen alongside actor Kunchacko Boban, for Mindiyum Paranjum filmed by Arun Bose in which she will be sharing the screen space with actor Unni Mukundan, and for Kaapa helmed by Venu in which she will be co starring with actor Prithviraj Sukumaran. Besides these ventures, the actress has a Malayalam project titled Ini Utharam scripted by Sudheesh Ramachandran in the post production stage getting fine-tuned for release. On the other hand, actress Ritu Varma who was last seen on screens in Tamil in the anthology flick Putham Pudhu Kaalai is gearing up for the release of her long-delayed spy thriller project Dhruva Natchathiram filmed by director Gautham Vasudev Menon in which she has performed alongside actors Vikram, Aishwarya Rajesh, and Simran.
