In the first look poster, actress Hansika Motwani is seen sitting on a chair and appears to be possessed by a spirit. The actress plays a dual role in Gandhari – of a woman hailing from a tribal community, and a woman who works with the government. Speaking to a leading media house in the state about the entertainer, director R Kannan said, “Gandhari unravels both in the 1940’s period and at present day. I spent nearly 6 months on research to build the plot. Producer Dhananjayan has worked on the screenplay. Since a portion of the entertainer is set in the 1940’s, costume designer Pradeepa went down to Yercaud where people from the community reside, and spent time with them studying their style of dressing to bring a sense of authenticity to the attire. We have put in a lot of work to recreate the 1940’s setup. I am confident the audience will love it.”Â
Apart from actors Hansika Motwani and Metro Shirish, Gandhari has popular youtuber and actress Brigida Saga in a supporting role. The rest of the cast that will be part of the flick is expected to be announced soon. The music for the entertainer will be composed by musician L V Muthu Ganesh. Cinematographer Balasubramaniem is taking caring of the cinematography division of the movie. Editor Jijendra will be editing the flick. Master Stunt Silva will be choreographing the action blocks for the project. The drama is produced by R Kannan under his banner house Masala Pix.Â
