Actor Kalaiyarasan had his last outing in Mari Selvaraj’s directorial Vaazhai in which he had depicted a supporting role. The entertainer garnered critical acclamations and enjoyed a great reception among the audience. Actor Attakathi Dinesh had a release last month in Lubber Pandhu helmed by director Thamizharasan Pachamuthu in which he had collaborated with actor Harish Kalyan. Both the stars have now teamed up for a movie titled Thandakaaranyam. Director Athiyan Athirai who had previously helmed Irandam Ulagaporin Kadaisi Gundu, has written and crafted the flick. Actress Riythvika of Madras fame has portrayed the female lead role. The movie is currently in the post production stage. An official release date for the drama is expected to be announced soon.
The production house has now shared the first look poster of the drama on social media. Taking to his official X profile, director Pa Ranjith unveiled the first look poster of Thandakaaranyam and wrote, “ஒரு நாட்டை பாதுகாக்க வெறும் துப்பாக்கி பீரங்கி அணுகுண்டுகளால மட்டுமே முடியாது. Thandakaaranyam First Look Poster
The first look poster has actor Kalaiyarasan in the background holding a red flag, while actor Attakathi Dinesh is seen standing stout holding a sharp tree twig in his hand waiting to defend himself. Kalaiyarasan is said to have played the character of a soldier. Attakathi Dinesh will be seen as a farmer in Thandakaaranyam. Besides Kalaiyarasan, Attakathi Dinesh, and Riythvika, Thandakaaranyam has actors Vinsu Sam, Shabeer Kallarakkal, Muthukumar, Arul Doss, Saranya Ravichandran, and Bala Saravanan essaying various other supporting parts. Music director Justin Prabhakaran will be handling musical instruments for the flick. Cinematographer Pratheep Kaliraja has operated camera for the venture. Editor R K Selva has trimmed the flick. Art director T Ramalingam has fashioned sets for the film. Action directors Stunner Sam, A S Sudeshkumar, and PC have choreographed action blocks. The entertainer is funded by Pa Ranjith under his home banner Neelam Studios in association with S Sai Devanand and S Sai Venkateswaran for the production label Learn and Teach Production.
On the work front, actor Kalaiyarasan will soon have a release in Madraskaaran directed by Vaali Mohan Das in which he has shared screen space with Malayalam actor Shane Nigam. He is currently busy shooting for his next projects Bison Scripted by Mari Selvaraj with actor Dhruv Vikram in lead, Moondram Kan helmed by Sago Ganesan in which he will be seen alongside actors Santhosh Prathap, Vidhaarth, and Teju Ashwini, and Mugam under the direction of story teller Sriram D Prasath. Apart from these projects, the Madras actor has Titanic Kadhalum Kavundhu Pogum directed by M Janakiraman in which he has associated with actress Anandhi in the box waiting to see the light of day. On the other hand, actor Attakathi Dinesh is patiently waiting for the release of his long-delayed ventures titled Therum Porum filmed by Vikram Sugumaran, and Vaarayo Vennilave crafted by R Sasidharan in which he has co starred with actresses Haripriya and Kavya M Shetty.
