Small screen celebrities making it to the silver screen is gradually becoming a trend in Tamil cinema. A welcome drift for all budding artists. The latest small screen celebrity who is about to realize his dream of becoming a lead actor in Kollywood is Raju Jeyamohan. Actor Raju Jeyamohan set foot in Tamil cinema with a supporting role in Natpuna Ennanu Theriyuma. Now he will soon make his debut as a lead hero in Bun Butter Jam. The film is written and crafted by Raghav Mirdath who had previously helmed Kaalangalil Aval Vasantham. Actresses Adhya Prasad and Bhavya Trikha will be playing female leads in the flick. The project is in the final schedule of shoot.
The makers have now unveiled the first look poster of the drama on social media. Taking to his official X account, actor Raju Jeyamohan shared the first look poster of Bun Butter Jam and wrote, “Bun Butter Jam first look poster! A Nivas K Prasanna musical. Written and directed by Raghav Mirdath. Produced by Suresh Subramanian.”

In the animated first look poster, actor Raju Jeyamohan is seen relishing a bun while seated amidst what appears to be a battle field with a small amount of blood cascading from his forehead. Speaking about the flick to a popular YouTube channel, director Raghav Mirdath said, “Bun Butter Jam is a complete Gen Z film. Today’s digital advancement has made life difficult as much as it has made it better. The advancement has got the youths distracted. They either stay in the past debacles or be anxious about what their future might be. The goal of the movie is to encourage them to live in the present.”
Talking about romance in the flick he stated, “Despite the presence of two heroines Bun Butter Jam will not thread in the lane of romcom. Today the audience has begun to receive stories that are different. In fact, they are expecting diverse plots. If the story is engaging, they go on to become blockbusters irrespective of whether they are small or big films. This gives us confidence to experiment a bit in both writing and making. I am confident that audience across age will like Bun Butter Jam.”
Actor Raju Jeyamohan began his career by playing a character named Jeeva Nantham in the second season of Kana Kaanum Kaalangal Kalloorin Kathai. It aided him to attain stardom quickly as it was one of the most popular shows. He then went on to play a part in several popular tv shows including Saravanan Meenatchi, Andal Azhagar, and Bharathi Kannamma. With his brilliant comical performances, he has earned millions of fans in the state. His star value rose steeply after he became the title winner of Bigg Boss Tamil season 5.
Apart from Raju Jeyamohan, Adhya Prasad, and Bhavya Trikha, Bun Butter Jam has actors Saranya Ponvannan, Devadarshini, Charlie, Michael Thangadurai, and VJ Pappu playing various supporting roles. Music director Nivas K Prasanna has been roped in to score music for the movie. Cinematographer IE Babu Kumar is behind the camera. Editor John Abraham will oversee the editing department. Bun Butter Jam is bankrolled by Suresh Subramanian under the production company Rain of Arrows Entertainment.
