Actor Arjun Das who began his career by starring in short films and doing small character roles, entered the big league with his role as ‘Anbu Das’ in Karthi’s Kaithi. The Aneethi star was last seen on screens in the romantic thriller Rasavathi helmed by Santha Kumar with actress Tanya Ravichandran playing the female lead role. He is now gearing up for the release of his upcoming romance film Once More. Debutant Vignesh Srikanth, who had penned dialogues for Por, has penciled and crafted the movie. Actress Aditi Shankar has depicted the female lead part in the drama. The movie is in the final stage of post-production.
The production team has now shared the first single from the album on social media. Taking to their official X handle, the production house dropped a poster from the song along with a link to the video song of ‘Vaa Kannamma’ from Once More and wrote, “THE WAIT IS OVER. Most awaited track ‘Vaa Kannamma’ from Once More is here to rule all the charts and hearts. Song Link. Written & directed by Vignesh Srikanth. Music composer Hesham Abdul Wahab has scored music for the song. He has also crooned the number along with Uthara Unnikrishnan. Director Vignesh Srikanth has written the lyrics of the song. The track is mixed and mastered by Harishankar. Once More is the title of actor Vijay’s 1997 superhit entertainer of the same name. Earlier talking about the film to a leading media, Vignesh Srikanth stated, “My debut venture will be a wholesome breezy romance entertainer. It revolves around Arjun Das and Aditi Shankar who fall in love with each other. The interesting aspect is that they both have a contrasting personality. Not just the two of them, even their family members and friends. How they navigate their differences is what forms the crux of the story.”
Speaking further he said, “It will be in the lines of Mani Ratnam sir’s O Kadhal Kanmani. I have tried to capture the difficulties and complexities in today’s relationships. Also, the magical moments that only transpire when two polar-opposite personalities fall in love.” The production house is yet to disclose a list of artists that are part of the cast. The technical side of the movie has cinematographer Aravind Viswanathan operating the camera for the entertainer. Editor Nash has been engaged to take care of the editing division of the drama. Art director Raj Kamal has fashioned the background for the flick. Once More is funded by Yuvaraj Ganesan under the banner house Million Dollar Studios, the banner behind Good Night and Lover, in association with V R Vamsi for the production company FYNTEMAX.
On the professional side, actor Arjun Das will soon be seen on screens in Telugu via They Call Him OG directed by Sujeeth in which he has performed alongside actors Pawan Kalyan and Priyanka Mohan. The Por actor is currently busy shooting for his future ventures titled Bomb crafted by Vishal Venkat in which he will be sharing screen space with actress Shivathmika Rajashekar, and Kaithi 2 scripted by Lokesh Kanagaraj in which he will be collaborating with actor Karthi. On the other hand, actress Aditi Shankar is set to make her debut in Telugu cinema this year with her action drama Bhairavam helmed by Vijay Kanakamedala in which she has co starred with actors Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas, Manchu Manoj Kumar, and Anandhi.
