Actor Atharvaa Murali lastly entertained audiences in the hyperlink thriller drama Nirangal Moondru which hit theaters under the direction of story teller Karthick Naren with actors Sarathkumar, and Rahman in lead roles. The Imaikkaa Nodigal star is now gearing up for the release of his next coming of age romantic drama Idhayam Murali. Producer Aakash Baskaran is set to make his directorial debut with this film. He penned the story of the flick along with writer S Ramana Girivasan. Actor Dravid Selvam has assisted in writing dialogues. Actresses Kayadu Lohar of Dragon fame and Preity Mukundhan of Star fame will be seen in the female lead roles in the entertainer. Musician Thaman S has donned the actor’s hat in the film nearly after two decades.
The makers had recently released the title announcement video of the drama on social media. Now, they have shared the first single from the album. Taking to their official X account, the production team of Dawn Pictures unveiled a poster from the flick along with a link to the first single ‘Idhayaa’ from Idhayam Murali and captioned it, “The song you’ve all been waiting for is here. Presenting Idhayaa, the first single from Idhayam Murali. A Thaman melody.” Here is the post made by the production unit.
Apart from acting, music composer Thaman S has also handled musical instruments for the entertainer. He has also crooned the number along with singer Vishal Mishra. Lyricist Vivek has penciled lyrics for the song. The track is mixed and mastered by Shadab Rayeen. It is worth noting that Idhayam is the title of Atharvaa’s father Murali’s popular classic. The title announcement clip of the flick had showcased actor Atharvaa’s college days and his secret admiration for his batchmate. The production house has already publicized that the flick will be released in theaters worldwide either in June or July. An official announcement regarding the release date is expected to be made soon.
Beside Atharvaa Murali, Kayadu Lohar, and Preity Mukundhan, the casting unit of Idhayam Murali also has actors S Thaman, Natarajan Subramaniam, Rakshan, Niharika N M, Sudhakar, Dravid Selvam, Angeline B, Pragya Nagra, and Yashashree Rao depicting various supporting characters. Cinematographers Manoj Paramahamsa and C H Sai have taken care of the cinematography department of the entertainer. Editor Pradeep E Ragav has been brought on board to chop and patch the drama. Art director Senthilkumar Kesavan has designed the background for the flick. Stunt man Jaikumar Vairavan has choreographed action blocks in the movie. Idhayam Murali is funded by Aakash Baskaran himself for his production label Dawn Pictures.
On the work front, actor Atharvaa Murali is getting ready for successive releases in Thanal filmed by Ravindra Madhava in which he has collaborated with actress Lavanya Tripathi, Address directed by Rajamohan in which he has shared screen space with actresses Dhiya & Pooja Jhaveri, and DNA scripted by director Nelson Venkatesan in which he has performed alongside actress Nimisha Sajayan. The Pattathu Arasan actor is presently engaged in his future project titled Parasakthi helmed by storyteller Sudha Kongara for which he has teamed up with actors Sivakarthikeyan, Jayam Ravi, and Sreeleela. On the other hand, actress Kayadu Lohar will next have a release in Telugu in Funky scripted by K V Anudeep in which she has romanced actor Vishwak Sen, and Thaaram filmed by Vinay Govind in which she has co starred with actors Nivin Pauly and Nikhila Vimal.
