Producer, director, and actor Sasikumar had his last outing in Nandhan crafted by storyteller Era Saravanan with actress Suruthi Periyasamy in the female lead role. The entertainer opened to mixed reviews from critics, and had a poor run in the box office. The Naan Mirugamaai Maara star will soon have the prospect to get back to winning ways in his next project christened Tourist Family. Newbie director Abishan Jeevinth has written and helmed the movie. Veteran actress Simran has been cast as the pair of the actors in the venture. Actor Yogi Babu has depicted a prominent role in the drama. The makers have already announced that the entertainer will be out in theaters this year.
Music composer Sean Roldan has handled musical instruments for the flick. Earlier the production house had released the title teaser of the drama on social media. Now they have unveiled the first single from the entertainer. Taking to his official X profile, actor Sasikumar dropped a special poster from the film along with a link to the first single titled ‘Mugai Mazhai’ from Tourist Family and wrote, “முகை மழை’ This track from Tourist Family will take you on a journey of pure love. Vocals – Sean Roldan, Saindhavi, Mohan Rajan. Written & directed by Abishan Jeevinth. A Sean Roldan musical. Simran. Aravind Viswanathan. Barath Vikraman.” Here is the post made by the actor.
Singers Sean Roldan and Saindhavi have lent their voices for the song. Musician Balu Thankachan has mixed and mastered the track. Lyricist Mohan Rajan has penned the lyrics of the number. Tourist Family is billed as a black comedy flick. The title teaser of the movie which released last year showed humorous events unfold when a Tamil family in Sri Lanka tries to secretly flee the country. Beside Sasikumar, Simran, and Yogi babu, the casting unit of Tourist Family also has actors M S Bhaskar, Bucks, Mithun Jai, Sreeja Ravi, Sankar, Ramesh Tilak, Kamalesh, and Elango Kumaravel portraying various supporting characters.
The technical side of the project has Aravind Viswanathan taking care of the cinematography division of the flick. Editor Barath Vikraman has been bestowed with the responsibility to chop and patch the movie. Art director Raj Kamal has erected sets for the film. Action master John Mark has designed action moves. The venture is produced by Nazerath Pasilian and Magesh Raj Pasilian for his production company Million Dollar Studios partnering with Yuvaraj Ganesan for the banner house MRP Entertainment.
On the professional front, actor Sasi Kumar will soon be seen on screens in Freedom filmed by Sathyasiva in which he has romanced actress Lijo Mol Jose, and Evidence scripted by Ranjith Manikandan. The MGR Magan star is presently engaged in his future dramas Pagaivanuku Arulvai directed by Anees in which he has collaborated with actresses Vani Bhojan & Bindhu Madhavi, and Naa Naa crafted by N V Nirmal in which he will be seen alongside actor Sarathkumar. On the other hand, actress Simran is awaiting the release of the next project Sabdham helmed by Arivazhagan Venkatachalam in which she has featured alongside actor Aadhi Pinisetty. The Andhagan actress is currently occupied in her next female centric venture The Last One directed by Lokesh Kumar.
