Actor Dhanush K Raja lastly graced the silver screen in the action flick Raayan which hit theaters under his own direction with actors S J Suryah, Sundeep Kishan, Kalidas Jayaram, and Dushara Vijayan in lead roles. The Sir actor is now gearing up for the release of his next venture titled Kuberaa. Telugu story teller Sekhar Kammula is set to make his directorial debut in Tamil cinema with this project. He has co written the film with writer Chaithanya Pingali. Actress Rashmika Mandanna of Sulthan fame has been paired against the actor for the first time in her career. Telugu superstar Nagarjuna Akkineni has depicted a crucial role in the entertainer. The production unit has already publicized that Kuberaa will be out in theaters worldwide this summer on 20th of June in languages Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.
The makers have now released the first single from the movie on social media. Taking to his official X account, actor Dhanush unveiled the first single from Kuberaa and worded, “Kuberaa 1st Single is all yours now! Devi Sri Prasad. Tamil – Poyivaa Nanba, Telugu – Poyiraa Mama, Hindi – Jaake Aana Yaara, Kannada – Hogi Baa Geleya, Malayalam – Poyivaa Nanba. Kuberaa” Here is the post made by the actor.
Actor Dhanush himself has lent his voice for the track. Lyricist Viveka has penciled lyrics for the song. Music director Devi Sri Prasad has joined forces with actor Dhanush for the third time in his career after their chartbusters in Kutty and Venghai. The number is mixed and mastered by A Uday Kumar. The entertainer which was announced in 2021 went on floors only in the beginning of 2024. It was shot in various locations in Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Mumbai, and Bangkok.
Apart from Dhanush, Nagarjuna Akkineni, and Rashmika Mandanna, the casting crew of the drama also has actors Dalip Tahil, Jim Sarbh, Sunaina, Divya Dekate, Tarun Arora, Saurav Khurana, Anukreethy Vas, Koushik Mahata, Madhusudhan Rao, and Col Ravi Sharma playing various supporting roles. Cinematographer Niketh Bommi has been behind camera for the project. Editor R Karthika Srinivas has been roped in to edit the movie. Art director V J Sekhar has erected sets for the film. Action master Stunts Sree has choreographed action blocks for the entertainer. The film is backed by Sekhar Kammula himself under his banner house Amigos Creations partnering with Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao for the production house Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP.
On the professional front, actor Dhanush is currently engaged in his future projects Idly Kadai crafted by himself in which he will be sharing screen space with actors Arun Vijay, Nithya Menen, and Shalini Pandey, a project tentatively christened Dhanush 56 helmed by Mari Selvaraj, and a Bollywood flick Tere Ishk Mein scripted by Aanand L Rai in which he will be associating with actors Kriti Sanon, and Prabhu Deva. On the other hand, actress Rashmika Mandanna will soon have a release in Telugu via The Girlfriend directed by Rahul Ravindran in which she has romanced actor Dheekshith Shetty. The Varisu actress is presently in the sets of director Aditya Sarpotdar shooting for their Hindi venture Thama in which she will be featuring alongside actors Ayushmann Khurrana and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
