Director Mani Ratnam’s pinnacle work of his career, the epic historical drama Ponniyin Selvan was released last year amidst high expectations. The entertainer was released in more than 1000 screens worldwide. It enjoyed great reception among the audience except for a tad dissatisfaction over VFX portions. The project racked up a pile load of money. Unfortunately, though it had a positive response on one sect of the audience, it ran into a massive controversy among another sect of the population. It paved the way for a heated debate on social media, and faced strong criticism from Tamil historians. Even director Vetrimaaran made a comment on the issue. Eventually things have subsided. Now, the production unit is gearing up for the release of the second part of the franchise which is slated to hit the theaters on 28th of April this year.
As part of promotion, the production house has now shared the first single track from the flick on social media. Taking to their official twitter account, the production house shared an animated song video with the caption, “The song that left you wanting more out now! Listen now to Aga Naga Ruaa Ruaa Aaganandhe Akamalar & Kirunage.” Here is the post shared by the production house.
