Actor G. V. Prakash Kumar is one of the busiest artists in Kollywood. But probably the only man who is busy as an actor as well as, as a musician. The Sivappu Manjal Pachai actor was last seen on screens in the action thriller movie Ayngaran which hit the theaters under the direction of story teller Ravi Arasu with actress Mahima Nambiar as the female lead. The entertainer did not live up to the expectations of the audience, and left the theaters unnoticed. The actor has put that behind him, and has teamed up with actor Gautham Vasudev Menon for his next project titled 13. Debutant director K Vivek has helmed the drama. The movie which went on floors some time ago was predominantly shot in and around the surroundings of Chennai and Talakona Falls. Currently, the post production works are happening in full swing.Â
Now, the production house has unveiled the teaser of the flick on social media. Actor G. V. Prakash Kumar himself has shared the teaser. Taking to his official twitter handle the actor shared the teaser and wrote, “My next film 13 teaser for you all!” Here is the tweet made by the actor.Â
The one-minute odd video cut opens with the voiceover of actor G. V. Prakash Kumar said, “Life will not go happily forever, one day everything will turn topsy turvy. That day, will demand blood, will ask for rage, will seek unending enmity.” On the visuals we are given a quick glimpse of actor G. V. Prakash Kumar’s life and few criminal activities. Following it we have the introduction of Gautham Vasudev Menon, we witness him explaining to his fellow officers about the murder of police officials, “Six police officers have been killed, and these are all unsolved cases.” The teaser ends with actor G. V. Prakash Kumar’s punch, “Here if one must live, the other must die.”Â
Touted to be an investigative crime thriller, 13 will have actor G. V. Prakash Kumar in the role of a budding YouTuber while Gautham Vasudev Menon will be seen as an investigating officer. Apart from actors G. V. Prakash Kumar and Gautham Vasudev Menon, the casting of the flick has actors Bhavya Trikha, Aishwarya, Aadhya Prasad, and Adithya Kathir essaying vital supporting roles. Music director Siddhu Kumar will be handling the musical instruments for the movie. Cinematographer C. M. Moovendhar will be cranking the camera for the drama. The editing department has been handed over to editor J. F. Castro. The entertainer is bankrolled by S Nandagopal under the banner house Madras Studios along with Anshu Prabhakar Films.Â
On the work front, actor G. V. Prakash Kumar who had his last outing in Ayngaran is currently busy shooting for his upcoming flick titled Idimuzhakkam under the direction of story Seenu Ramasamy in which he will be romancing actress Gayathrie Shankar, and for an independent English drama christened Trap City. Besides these projects, the Selfie actor has his long-delayed venture Basha Engira Antony helmed by storyteller Prasanth Pandiyaraj in his pipeline awaiting release. The actor also has ventures as music composer in the likes of Captain Miller directed by Arun Matheswaran, Mark Antony filmed by Adhik Ravichandran, and Vaadivaasal scripted by director Vetri Maaran. On the other hand, actor Gautham Vasudev Menon who was last seen on screens in Don is currently gearing up for the release of his next project christened Michael directed by Ranjit Jeyakodi in which he has shared the screen space with actors Sundeep Kishan and Vijay Sethupathi.
