Actress Hansika Motwani ventured into Tamil cinema through Dhanush’s Mappillai and shot to fame with her sophomore project Engeyum Kadhal. The success of the movie took her for a ride in Kollywood with top stars. But soon things waned and the star ran out of projects. The Aranmanai 2 actress who got married in 2022 is making moves to revive her career. The Partner actress was last seen on screens in the horror flick Guardian directed by Sabari and Guru Saravanan. The movie failed to impress the audience. The actress is now gearing up for the release of her next horror movie titled Gandhari. Director R Kannan of The Great Indian Kitchen fame has directed the entertainer. Writer Tholkappiyan has penned the story. Dhananjayan had aided with the screenplay. While writer Srini has written the dialogues.
The audio launch function of Gandhari was held in Chennai recently. Film maker Mani Ratnam attended the event and launched the trailer of the drama. The makers have now released the trailer of the film on social media. Taking to their official X account, the production team dropped a poster from the flick along with a link to the trailer of Gandhari and wrote, “Her revenge is unleashed. Feel the terror. The trailer gives us a glimpse of multiple factors happening in the castle by rapid jump cuts. The trailer does not have any dialogues except for the final shot where a possessed Hansika Motwani warns in a nonnative language, “This is a place that I safeguard. Nobody is permitted here.” Actress Hansika Motwani will portray the part of a young woman officer with the archeological department who embarks on a journey to research about an ancient citadel named ‘Gandharva Kottai.’ During her research she experiences paranormal activities and gets entangled in the happenings of the place.
Gandhari also has actors Metro Sirish, Mayilsamy, Aadukalam Naren, Thalaivasal Vijay, Stunt Silva, Brigida Saga, Vinodhini, Pavan, Kalairani, and Vadivel Murugan playing various supporting parts. Music for the film is composed by L V Ganesh. Cinematographer Balasubramanian has been behind the camera. Editor Jijinthra has been trusted with the editing department. Action director Stunt Silva has choreographed action blocks. Art director Srikanth Gopal has designed the background for the drama. Gandhari is funded by R Kannan under the production house Masala Pix Banner. The production team is expected to announce the release date of the drama soon.
On the professional front, actress Hansika Motwani will soon have her next release in Man helmed by Igore. Actor Aari Arujunan will play her pair in the flick. Apart from this, the actress has Rowdy Baby crafted by J M Raja Saravanan with actors Meena, Sonia Agarwal, and Sathyaraj in supporting roles. She also has a Telugu web series titled Nasha penciled by storyteller G Ashok.
