Actor Harish Kalyan ventured into K town with a supporting role in the controversial drama Sindhu Samaveli which hit the screens back in the year 2010 under the direction of story teller Samy with actress Amala Paul in the female lead role. The film stirred a lot of heat throughout the state which led to some associations protesting to ban the release of the movie. Despite the opposite, the entertainer got released. Though the film became a debatable material it did not fetch foots to the theaters and as a result it failed badly in the box office. Following it, the actor did a handful of flicks which left the theaters unnoticed. He got his breakthrough in the 2014 thriller drama Poriyaalan which was helmed by director Manimaran. The project received positive reviews from the critics and earned a name for Harish Kalyan. He backed his success with flicks like Pyaar Prema Kaadhal, Ispade Rajavum Idhaya Raniyum, and Dharala Prabhu which helped him to attain the image of a bankable lead hero.
The actor has been busy with his upcoming projects. He has been working hard to get into shape for his next project. Recently, he shared the pictures of him in gym physique on social media with the note, “Fueled by your love and support, pushed my limits to achieve this look for my upcoming movie. Of late, along with his projects the actor has been busy in social media. Recently, he took to his Instagram handle and had a long ‘ask me anything’ session with his followers. During the session one of his followers asked him of his college and school life to which he responded frankly that he was a college dropout. Next one asked for his 12th marks, for which the Poriyaalan actor went on to state that there is more to life than marks and degree. And that the world is full of opportunities for those who look.
Another fan of his asked him to talk about his pleasant childhood memories, to which the actor said that it was his school days, and shared about the things he did in his childhood, “School days. Playing cricket roadside. Bet match. Roadu kadaila 1rs cola ice kuchi. Tuition cut adichutu friends oda cricket. Pco (1rs call booth) lendhu calling our school crush (landline). Matrrum pala good fun and emotional memories (school days).” Going further into the session, the actor shared an unseen childhood picture of him for his fans. He then talked about his friends and the atrocities he did with them. The session went on for a few more minutes and the star answered the questions patiently. By the end his fans appreciated him for taking the time to chat with them and for answering their questions frankly.
On the work front, actor Harish Kalyan who was last seen on screens in Oh Manapenne is gearing up for the release of his next project Nooru Kodi Vaanavil helmed by film maker Sasi in which he has shared the screen space with actress Siddhi Idnani. The actor is currently busy shooting for his upcoming untitled flick under the direction of story teller Shanmugam Muthusamy.
