As technology evolves things get better. OTT platforms which were perceived as a threat in Kollywood at the beginning, are now providing a sense of respite to low budget movies. Now, a film made in Tamil cinema has two releases – theatrical and digital. If the flick fails at theatrical release, it can try its luck in digital. The latest Tamil movie to try its luck in the digital space is Hit List which was released in May of this year. Actors Sarath Kumar and Vijay Kanishka had essayed the lead roles. Debutant film makers Soorya Kathir Kakkallar and K Karthikeyan have directed the movie. The entertainer failed to garner the attention of the audience in theaters. Now it is getting ready for its OTT release. Aha Tamil OTT platform has acquired the digital rights of Hit List.
Hit List is poised to be streamed on Aha Tamil on 9th of July. Aha Tamil OTT platform themselves have officially announced the update on social media. Taking to their official X account, Aha Tamil team shared a poster which has actors Vijay Kanishka and Gautham Vasudev Menon trying to have a go at each other and wrote, “Blockbuster Action movie of the year is releasing on Aha Tamil. Hit List premiers from July 9th. C Sathya Musical!” Here is the post made by the OTT platform.

In Hit List actor Vijay Kanishka, son of director Vikraman plays Vijay, whose mother and sister are abducted by a mysterious man behind a mask. He then begins to deliver instructions to Vijay. Here is the catch. If the protagonist executes the orders he might be committing crimes, but if he doesn’t his family would be in danger. Actor Sarath Kumar plays a police officer trying to solve the case. Will the protagonist commit crimes to save his family or does he have a different game in mind is what makes the crux of the story.
Apart from actors Sarath Kumar and Vijay Kanishka, Hit List has actors Gautham Vasudev Menon, Samuthirakani, Aishwarya Dutta, Munishkanth, Redin Kingsley, Shaji Chen, Sithara, Abi Nakshatra, Smruthi Venkat, Poster Nandakumar, Ramachandra Raju, Anupama Kumar, Ramachandran Durairaj, Bala Saravanan, and Pandian in various other supporting roles. Musician C Sathya has composed music for the drama. Cinematographer K Ramcharan has cranked camera. Editor John Abraham has brought coherence to the flick. Hit List is produced by K S Ravikumar under his production label RK Celluloids.
On the professional front, actor Sarath Kumar will next be seen on screens in the mythological fantasy Telugu drama Kannappa crafted by Mukesh Kumar Singh with Telugu actor Vishnu Manchu as lead. The entertainer will have guest appearances made by actors Prabhas, Mohanlal, Akshay Kumar, and Kajal Aggarwal.
