Actor Sathish is one of few graduates from small screen to be doing well on big screen. The Ranga actor who got his break in Sivakarthikeyan’s Ethir Neechal as a comedian made his debut as a lead hero in Kishore Rajkumar’s Naai Sekar. Since then, he has been juggling between headlining projects and playing supporting characters. The Conjuring Kannappan actor was last seen on screens in the lead role in Vithaikkaaran directed by Venki. He will soon have a release in Sattam En Kaiyil in which he has portrayed the lead part. Actress Vidya Pradeep of Iravukku Aayiram Kangal fame has essayed a pivotal role in the flick. Director Chachhi, who had last directed Sixer, has penciled and helmed the drama. Writer J M Raja has penned dialogues for the film. Sattam En Kaiyil is slated to hit the screens worldwide on 20th of September.

The production team has started promotional activities for the flick. As part of it storyteller Chachhi recently sat down for an interview with a leading daily to talk about the entertainer. Speaking about the plot of the film he revealed, “Sattam En Kaiyil will be an intense thriller drama with situational comedy. The story is set at the backdrop of a police station. The entire plot is built around events that transpire over a night. It follows an ordinary man who gets apprehended, and how he skillfully uses his wit to navigate and free himself from the hands of corrupt and influential people forms the crux of the story.” Explaining about why he opted to cast Sathish, he detailed, “If I had casted a hero who is familiar for thrillers, then Sattam En Kaiyil would have become just another thriller. I did not want that familiarity factor. Sathish brings in a novel tone to the film. I felt it would be refreshing for the audience to witness someone like Sathish doing a serious role. I am confident they will love it. Sattam En Kaiyil will be a corroboration that Sathish can convincingly enact any character.”
The casting unit of Sattam En Kaiyil includes actors Ajay Raj, Pavel Navageethan, Riythvika, and Venba. Music director M S Jones has composed music for the venture. Cinematographer P G Muthaiya has cranked the camera for the movie. Editor A Martin Titus has been trusted with the editing department. Art director Pasar N K Rahul has designed the background for the flick. Action directors Ram Kumar and Suresh have fashioned action moves. Sattam En Kaiyil is bankrolled by Bharathwaj Muralikrishnan and Anandhakrishnan Shanmugam for their home label Shanmugam Creations along with Sriram Sathyanarayanan for the production house Seeds Entertainment. PVR Inox Pictures will be releasing the entertainer in Tamil Nadu.
On the work front, actor Sathish will have his next outing in Soorpanagai scripted by Caarthik Raju in which he has shared screen space with actress Regina Cassandra. Apart from this movie, the actor has two of his long-delayed projects in Vaa Deal directed by Rathina Siva in which he has collaborated with actor Arun Vijay, and Aayiram Jenmangal filmed by Ezhil with actor G V Prakash Kumar in the lead role.
