Actor Pradeep Ranganathan had a stellar last outing in the coming-of-age comedy drama Dragon which hit the screens under the direction of Ashwath Marimuthu with actresses Anupama Parameswaran and Kayadu Lohar as female leads. The Love Today actor was engaged in his next flick christened Love Insurance Kompany. Story teller Vignesh Shivan is in the director’s chair for the entertainer. He has worked with actors S J Suryah and Pradeep Ranganathan to build the story of the movie. Actresses Krithi Shetty of The Warrior fame, and Gouri G Kishan of 96 fame have essayed the female lead roles in the film. First few schedules of shoot for the project took place in and around the surroundings of Coimbatore, Velliangiri Mountains, Udumalaipettai, and Singapore. The final leg of the shoot was happening in Malaysia.
We now have news that the shoot for the venture has been wrapped. The makers themselves have announced the news on social media. Taking to their official X handle, the production team of Seven Screen Studio dropped a behind the shoot clip and wrote, “It’s a shoot wrap for LIK!! இனிய தமிழ் புத்தாண்டு வாழ்த்துகள். The project was supposed to be headlined by actor Sivakarthikeyan back in 2019 under Lyca Productions banner. But it got shelved citing budget constraints. It was then rejuvenated in 2023 by Seven Screen Studio with actor Pradeep Ranganathan in lead. The entertainer was initially titled LIC which drew a copyright claim from director S S Kumaran, and objection from life insurance corporation of India. Following it the team decided to go with the title ‘Love Insurance Kompany’. Apart from Vignesh Shivan, Krithi Shetty and Gouri G Kishan, the casting crew of Love Insurance Kompany also has actors S J Suryah, Yogi Babu, Mysskin, Seeman, Anandaraj, Sunil Reddy, Shah Ra, Edin Rose, and Muhammad Rasool playing various supporting characters.
The musical department of the project has been handed over to music composer Anirudh Ravichander. First single ‘Dheema’ in Anirudh Ravichander’s voice and Vignesh Shivan’s lyrics, is already out from the album. Cinematographers Sathyan Sooryan and Ravi Varman have worked in tandem to capture the movie. Editor Pradeep E Ragav has been handed the editing responsibilities. Art director Selva Kumar has designed sets for the entertainer. Action director Vicky has choreographed action blocks for the film. Love Insurance Kompany is produced by S S Lalit Kumar, L K Vishnu Kumar, and Srimaan Ramachandra Raja under the production banner Seven Screen Studio partnering with actress and wife of Vignesh Shivan Nayanthara for the production label Rowdy Pictures.
On the work front, actor Pradeep Ranganathan is currently busy shooting for his next venture PR 04 filmed by director Keerthiswaran in which he will be romancing actress Mamitha Baiju. On the other hand, actress Krithi Shetty will soon have successive releases in Tamil via Vaa Vaathiyaar crafted by Nalan Kumarasamy in which she has shared screen space with actor Karthi, and Genie helmed by Arjunan Jr in which she has performed alongside actors Jayam Ravi, Kalyani Priyadarshan, and Wamiqa Gabbi.
