Actor Jayam Ravi was last seen on screens in the comedy drama Brother filmed by M Rajesh with actress Priyanka Mohan in the female lead role. The movie opened to negative reviews and did not do well in the box office. The Santhosh Subramaniyam actor will soon have the prospect to get back to winning ways with his upcoming romantic comedy film Kadhalikka Neramillai. Director Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi, known for projects such as Vanakkam Chennai and Kaali, has penciled and helmed the flick. Actress Nithya Menon of JK Enum Nanbanin Vaazhkai fame has been cast as the love interest of actor Jayam Ravi. The makers have officially announced that the movie will hit theaters worldwide as a Pongal release on 14th January.
Music composer A R Rahman has handled musical gears for the entertainer. Already two numbers christened ‘Yennai Izhukkuthadi’ and ‘Lavender Neramae’ are out from the album. Now the production house has unveiled the third track dubbed as the break-up anthem ‘It’s A Break-Up Da’ on social media. Taking to his official X profile, actor Jayam Ravi himself shared a poster and a link to the song ‘It’s A Break-Up Da’ and captioned it, “Here’s breakup anthem for the Heartbreakers and the Broken-hearted from Kadhalikka Neramillai. Shruthi Hassan, R K Adithya. All set for this Pongal, January 14th, 2025! An A R Rahman musical.” Here is the post made by the actor.
Singers Shruthi Hassan and R K Adithya have lent their voice for the song. Lyricist Snekan has penciled lyrics for the track. Choreographer Leelavathi has fashioned dance moves for the song. Artist Venky has been credited for the design of lyrical video. Kadhalikka Neramillai marks the third association of A R Rahman and Jayam Ravi after the exceptional Ponniyin Selvan franchise, and the upcoming flick Genie.
Beside Jayam Ravi and Nithya Menon, casting unit of Kadhalikka Neramillai also has actors Yogi Babu, Singer Mano, John Kokken, Lal, Rohaan Singh, Vinay Rai, T J Bhanu, Lakshmy Ramakrishnan, Vinodhini Vaidyanathan, and Sriganesh. The cinematography division of the venture has been overseen by Gavemic U Ary. Editor Lawrence Kishore has been engaged to edit the entertainer. Art director Shanmugaraja has erected sets for the flick. Stunt director R S Raja has choreographed action moves. Kadhalikka Neramillai is bankrolled by Udhayanidhi Stalin, affiliating with M Shenbaga Moorthy and R Arjun Durai under the production company Red Giant Movies.
On the work front, actor Jayam Ravi is also awaiting the release of his fantasy comedy film Genie scripted by Bhuvanesh Arjunan in which he will be seen alongside actresses Krithi Shetty and Kalyani Priyadarshan. The M Kumaran Son Of Mahalakshmi star is currently busy shooting for his future entertainers tentatively named JR 34 directed by Ganesh K Babu of Dada fame, and SK 25 crafted by Sudha Kongara in which he will be collaborating with actors Sivakarthikeyan, Atharvaa, and Sreeleela. On the other hand, actress Nithya Menen is currently occupied with her upcoming dramas Idly Kadai written, directed, headlined, and co produced by actor Dhanush, Dear Exes scripted by director Kamini in which she will be depicting the lead part, and untitled movie of actor Vijay Sethupathi which is crafted by Pandiraj.
