Actor Jayam Ravi began his career as a child artist and later made his debut as a lead hero in the blockbuster drama Jayam. The success of the entertainer brought many projects his way. Capitalizing on the momentum the actor churned out hit projects in M Kumaran Son Of Mahalakshmi, Unakkum Enakkum, Deepavali, Santhosh Subramaniyam, and Dhaam Dhoom. After delivering a slew of box office hits he positioned himself as a strong marketable hero in Tamil cinema. While at the optimistic moment of his career, out of the blue the actor announced his marriage with Aarti, the daughter of producer Sujatha Vijayakumar. They tied the knot in 2009. The duo has two children named Aarav and Ayaan. Now, in a heartbreaking disclosure the actor has announced that he is separating from his wife Aarti. This comes as a shocker to not only his fans but to everyone as they have been one of the most adored couples in Kollywood.
The actor himself has shared the announcement as a letter on social media. Taking to his official X account, the actor dropped a couple of letters both in Tamil and English and wrote, “Grateful for your love and understanding. Jayam Ravi.” Here is the post made by the actor.

The letter begins philosophically, “Life is a journey filled with various chapters, each presenting its own opportunities and challenges. As many of you have followed my journey on and off screen with utmost love and support, I have always thrived to be as transparent and honest with my fans and the media as much as possible. It is with heavy heart that I must share a deeply personal update with all of you.” Then comes the announcement of the separation, “After much thought, reflections, and discussions, I have taken the difficult decision to proceed with the dissolution of my marriage with Aarti. This decision was not made out of haste and it stems from personal reasons that I believe are in the best interests of everyone involved.”
The star then asks for everyone to respect their privacy, “In light of this, I hereby kindly request all of you to respect our privacy as well as that of our family members during this difficult time and appeal to all of you to refrain from making any assumptions, rumors or allegations in this regard and let the matter remain private.” It ends with him talking about his priority and future endeavors, “My priority has always remained the same – to continue bringing joy and entertainment through my films to my dearest audience. I am still and will always be your Jayam Ravi – who is cherished by all of you throughout my career – and as an actor who is dedicated to my craft and commitment to showcase the best of my talent. Your constant support means the world to me and I am grateful for the love you have showered on me over the years. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.”
On the work front, actor Jayam Ravi is staring at consecutive releases in Brother helmed by storyteller M Rajesh in which he will be seen alongside actress Priyanka Mohan, and Kadhalikka Neramillai crafted by Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi in which he has associated with actress Nithya Menen. The Tik Tik Tik actor is currently engaged in his next fantasy comedy drama christened Genie filmed by a debutant director Bhuvanesh Arjunan. Actresses Kalyani Priyadarshan and Krithi Shetty have been roped in to depict the female lead roles.
