Actor Jayam Ravi ended his marriage of nearly two decades with wife Aarti. There are rumors connecting the star with singer Kenishaa. The actor has denied the rumors and has turned the crowd’s attention to his upcoming film titled Brother. Storyteller M Rajesh who has treated audiences to laugh riot with his movies Siva Manasula Sakthi, Boss Engira Baskaran, and Oru Kal Oru Kannadi, has penciled and helmed the entertainer. Actress Priyanka Mohan of Etharkkum Thunindhavan fame will be romancing the star in the flick. Actress Bhumika Chawla of Sillunu Oru Kaadhal fame has played a vital role in the project after a long time. Brother will be out in theaters on 31th of October.
The audio launch function of the drama took place recently in Chennai. Both audio and teaser of the film was released at the event. Now the production team has shared the teaser on social media. Taking to his official X account, actor Jayam Ravi unveiled the teaser of Brother and captioned it, “Brother from Diwali. Makkamish.” Here is the post made by the actor.

One-minute teaser of Brother opens to actor Rao Ramesh asking Jayam Ravi’s character Karthi, “Every human being born in this world will have an aim in life. Mr. Karthi, what is your aim?” The actor responds, “I need to eat a satisfactory meal three times a day, sleep for 8 hours a day without disruption even in case of thunder, and then speak and do whatever I feel. That’s it uncle, this is my aim.” Then we are given a few shots of action blocks and glimpses of romance. This Diwali will have Jayam Ravi’s Brother clashing with Sivakarthikeyan’s Amaran crafted by Rajkumar Periasamy, and Kavin’s Bloody Beggar filmed by Sivabalan Muthukumar.
Star cast of Brother also has actors Saranya Ponvannan, Yogi Babu, Seetha, Robo Shankar, M S Bhaskar, Natarajan Subramaniam, Rao Ramesh, Sathish Krishnan, Achyuth Kumar, VTV Ganesh, Master Ashwin, Suresh Chakravarthy, and Vriddhi Vishal. Music director Harris Jayaraj and actor Jayam Ravi have joined hands for a project nearly a decade after their superhit album in Engeyum Kadhal. A single titled ‘Makkamishi’ has entered the loop chart of youngsters. Cinematographer Vivekanand Santhosham has been behind the lens for the entertainer. Editor Abisish Joseph has overseen the editing department of the movie. Art director R Kishore has designed the background for the film. The project is backed by Siddharth Ravipati in collaboration with Senthil Kumar under the production house Screen Scene Media Entertainment Pvt Ltd.
On the work front, actor Jayam Ravi will soon have his next release in Kadhalikka Neramillai scripted by Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi. Actress Nithya Menen has portrayed the love interest of the star in the drama. He is currently in the sets of debutant director Bhuvanesh Arjunan shooting for their fantasy comedy movie titled Genie in which he will be collaborating with actresses Kalyani Priyadarshan and Krithi Shetty. On the other hand, actress Priyanka Mohan is awaiting the release of her Telugu film christened They Call Him OG filmed by director Sujeeth in which she has co starred with actor & deputy chief minister Pawan Kalyan. Beside this flick, she has a cameo role in Dhanush’s directorial Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam.
