Actor Jayam Ravi has been in the news for all wrong reasons recently. But the Ponniyin Selvan star has kept his calm and has his attention laser focused on his career. He had his last outing earlier this year in the action thriller Siren helmed by Anthony Bhagyaraj with Keerthy Suresh in the female lead role. The Tik Tik Tik actor is now gearing up for the release of his next flick titled Brother. Filmmaker M Rajesh who is known for his movies like Siva Manasula Sakthi, Boss Engira Baskaran, and Oru Kal Oru Kannadi, has written and crafted the entertainer. Actress Priyanka Mohan of Etharkkum Thunindhavan fame has been roped in to play the female lead. Actress Bhumika Chawla of Sillunu Oru Kaadhal fame is set to deliver her comeback in Kollywood after a long gap with a key part in the drama. While the movie is in the post production, the makers have begun their promotional activities.
As part of the publicity campaign, they recently released a single christened ‘Makkamishi’ from the album. Now they have officially announced the release date of the drama on social media. Brother is all poised to hit the theaters as a festive release on 29th of October this year. Taking to their official X account, the production team shared a poster from Brother with a Diwali release tagged on it and worded, “Let’s celebrate this Diwali with actor Jayam Ravi’s Brother movie. 100% Family entertainer.” Here is the post made by the production house.

Sivakarthikeyan’s Amaran is also slated to hit the screens on the same date. It appears to be a double treat and superb Diwali in waiting for cinema fans. Apart from actors Jayam Ravi and Priyanka Mohan, cast of Brother also has actors Saranya Ponvannan, Yogi Babu, Natarajan Subramaniam, Achyuth Kumar, Rao Ramesh, VTV Ganesh, Master Ashwin, Robo Shankar, Sathish Krishnan, M S Bhaskar, Suresh Chakravarthy, Seetha, and Vriddhi Vishal depicting various supporting characters. Harris Jayaraj – Jayam Ravi combo is back nearly after a decade with their previous blockbuster album being Engeyum Kadhal. Vivekanand Santhosham has been trusted with the cinematography department. Editor Abisish Joseph has been bestowed with the responsibility to trim the entertainer. Art director R Kishore has designed the background for the flick. The venture is funded by Siddharth Ravipati in association with Senthil Kumar under their production label Screen Scene Media Entertainment Pvt Ltd.
On the work front, actor Jayam Ravi is awaiting the release of his next project Kadhalikka Neramillai directed by Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi. He will be seen alongside actress Nithya Menen in the flick. The Santhosh Subramaniam star is currently in the sets of debutant story teller Bhuvanesh Arjunan shooting for their upcoming fantasy comedy drama Genie. Actresses Kalyani Priyadarshan and Krithi Shetty have been brought on board to play the love interest of the actor. On the other hand, actress Priyanka Mohan is gearing up for the release of a couple of her Telugu ventures titled They Call Him OG directed by Sujeeth in which she has co starred with Pawan Kalyan, and actor Nani’s Saripodhaa Sanivaaram crafted by Vivek Athreya.
